You have all subscribed to the New York Times (free through the college library website).  Do so now if you haven’t already!
Assignment (essay) – 3 interests & NYTimes essays.  Due in steps; see below. 
(FINAL due date: Mon April 29th.)
In MLA format, write a 750-900 word essay discussing three specific topics of interest to you and include one NYTimes article per interest to discuss within your essay.  Browse throughNYTimes on your laptop (or at the college), and find things that “float your boat”!! The NYTimes is huge and covers every topic; you can definitely find TONS of stuff that overlaps with your own interestes. Your essay will include separate body paragraphs which include direct quotes from the NYTimes essays; you will show that you know how to create “quote sandwiches.”   You WILL refer to yourself throughout this essay (because you are discussing YOUR interests).
