Two of the many ways abusers often control their victims, as is referenced on Handout #9, are by “Using Isolation (controlling what the victim does, whom she sees, talks to, etc.)” and “Using Emotional Abuse” (e.g., putting the victim down, making her feel bad about herself, making the victim feel worthless). After reading Handout #9 and finishing chapter 4 in the book No Visible Bruises,
Give at least one specific example of the ways Rocky isolated Michelle
