“Finding Home: An Auto-Ethnographic Journey Through Community and Identity”

You will be
telling a story of your community and your own concept of “home.” This type of
research paper utilizes an auto-ethnography methodology. It is a sociological
tool that traces one’s individual experience and contextualizes it with the
themes and concepts from the course. The concepts that we have covered so far
include various approaches to the study of culture, race/ethnicity, gender, citizenship,
social institutions and others.
