Through this week’s assigned reading and media, you have seen the colonies become established after a time of instability including Bacon’s Rebellion and the Salem Witch trials. However, by the beginning of the 18th Century, the colonies were experiencing opportunities for economic and intellectual growth. What was the “industrious revolution,” how did it shape the colonial economy, and what other factors shaped the development of the colonial economy?
