Emotional Intelligence is a crucial component of effective communication and leadership. While some may argue that it detracts from the importance of technical skills, a balanced approach that integrates EI with other competencies is necessary for achieving holistic growth and success.
Feedback from the professor – One way to approach this topic is to narrow it to the impact of emotional intelligence on communication practices. For example, you can do a systematic review of the literature focusing on the impact of emotional intelligence on communication. The systematic review will only include only articles focused on emotional intelligence and its effect on communication. The methodology focuses on the systematic review, which is just an expanded literature review on the topic. However, in the methodology section, we will analyze the articles for common themes. Please narrow EI and communication to a case study or comparative case study where you can compare outcomes of two public sector agencies, one of which may have introduced EI concepts to improve communication and one that did not.
