Motivational interviewing targets a client’s ambivalence about change. Based on an example of a client in your own practice:
a) what is the goal the client would like to accomplish
b) what change would have to happen to achieve that goal
c) what is keeping the client from making that change
d) how will you use motivational interviewing to help the client overcome resistance to change
