In this Portfolio Project, you will write an write an Application of Interdisciplinary Studies in the Workplace. The Portfolio will serve as a foundation and “blueprint” for application of your college learning in your career. Each Portfolio Project Milestone, listed below, will build a step in your blueprint:
Module 1 – Identify the organization, department, and role you will use as a bases for the remainder of this project and name two work-related challenges that are part of managing your career in this workplace environment or role.
Module 2 – Define and summarize the interdisciplinary theories that you will use to address work-related challenges and identify a clear path for applying IDS in a real-world application.
Module 3 – Identify two work-related challenges and multiple potential IDS-based solutions for resolving the challenges.
Module 4 – Analyze the potential cause-and-effect of the IDS-based solutions you have and identify one IDS solution or strategy that has the greatest potential for resolving one work-related challenge.
Module 5 – Create a communication plan to support distributing information about the work-related challenges and the proposed IDS solution or strategy for solving it.
Module 6 – Identify the type of team you will need to support the application of the IDS solution or strategy and define each team member’s role.
Module 7 – Identify the type of assessment and evaluation you will need to gauge the outcome of the application of the IDS solution or strategy.
Module 8 – Assemble your Portfolio Project Milestones into one document and conclude with your unique understanding of the work-related challenge you chose, your knowledge of applying IDS skills, your direction of the team you picked to use your IDS-based solution to the challenge, and the action steps you would take after your assessment and evaluation of the results.
