Part II-Writing Assessment- This assessment will require you to compare unemployment as a personal problem and a public issue, and evaluate how solutions to the problem might differ, allowing you to see how society can shape your individual life. You will also compare and contrast two major theoretical perspectives regarding their view of unemployment, to better understand how to look at situations from different points of view.
As you should realize from your readings, issues can be either personal or public. You will need to explain how unemployment is looked at as a personal issue and how it would be explained when looked at as a public issue. In addition, explain how the solutions for unemployment differ depending upon which way it is viewed. How would a functionalist view unemployment in regards to the functioning of societies? Also, how would a social-conflict theorist view unemployment in relation to society? This writing assessment has multiple questions that must be addressed, so make sure you get them all. Each question will require about 1 paragraph to answer. In addition,
