“Exploring Gender Roles and Expectations in The Bahamas: Reflections on Two Documentaries”

After watching the documentary of your choice

discuss something that you learned from it that you didn’t know about the topic? Why did that stick out to you? 
Next, after you submit your post, you will be able to see your classmates’ responses. Read several to consider the range of opinions on these questions. 
Finally, respond to YOUR OWN post with any ideas, facts, analyses that you missed or are rethinking based on at least two other classmates’ posts. Please make sure to refer specifically to your classmates by their names, just like you provide credit in your essays — don’t just make a general comment “based on reading several responses from my classmates…” .  This should be a thoughtful reflection of your initial response discussing how someone else’s ideas made you rethink your ideas. Do not say that you agree. Do not summarize what someone else says. 
Each student should create their own post by responding to my question. Your primary response should be approximately 200 words, and your response to yourself should be around 100 or so.
Your goal is to engage with and synthesize different perspectives while also thinking about your own…  don’t just agree or disagree but explain how our ideas expand or challenge your own. Surface level responses will receive lower grades.
