Required Material Annotation Assignments: Jacobs (1961) and Davis (2004)

Required Material Annotation Assignments
Annotations should be 300 to 500 words in total. So, for example, if there are two readings, think 150 to 250 for each source.
Annotations must include in-text citations and a reference list.
Annotation Structure
1 One sentence introducing the source, author, and context clues that help position this source. This might be a comment of publication year, author positionality, where it was published, and type of source (academic, secondary/news, primary, etc).
2-3 sentences. Annotations are more than summaries. In two to three sentences, include the key concepts from the source, clearly define the concepts using the information/examples from the reading materials
2-3 sentences. For the second half of the annotation, reflect on the concepts and how these may or may not help you analyze your topic. Ask yourself: is this source credible? Is the source biased? How might the author(s) positionality impact the arguments of the source?
These annotations should include citations to the two assigned readings:
Jacobs (1961)
Davis (2004)
