This is one of the sources. For this assignment, we are supposed to pick a theme to focus on from the book and connect it to the society of America that we live in. I picked the theme of Gender and Feminism. 
This is my working claim, feel free to fix it up. 
The Handmaid’s Tale demonstrates how the women of Gilead have little to no rights and how they are seen as useful for only one thing, their roles define how they can be used by the men around them.
