2. Why do you think the narrator allows the reader to make additions to the first picture she offers of Omelas?
3. In your opinion, are the people who walk away heroes, traitors, or something else entirely?

B. In a developed paragraph of personal reflection, ALSO answer this question:
If we are being honest with ourselves, what similarities does this world have to our own? Does the comfort of some people depend on the discomfort of others? Is this just the way it has to be? If not, what can be done about it? Expand, develop, and explore your answer. I realize these are not easy questions, so don’t take them lightly.
