Response to “The Impact of Telehealth on Global Healthcare”

I need a response to a peers discussion post.
Prompt:
Discuss how telehealth can impact healthcare on a global scale. What are
barriers to this practice? Use evidence-based research to support your
answer.
In your
response, it is important to be respectful, make your response
meaningful, and express yourself clearly.    It is a best practice to
not use unsupported personal opinions, generalizations or language that
might be viewed as offensive to others.  If you are trying to extend a
discussion, consider using probing questions.  If providing a
disagreement to a peer post remain respectful, considerate, and maintain
an academic tone.
Please respond to this post.
The
quick access telehealth has to offer is a true gift technology and
medicine combined will continue to assist people in need. I had the
pleasure of reading about an organization called Connecting Kids with
Care that uses telehealth to provide care for pediatric orphans awaiting
adoption, as well as other vulnerable children requiring medical
attention (Bigg, H., 2018).
Connecting Kids with Care is a non-profit organization where physicians
volunteer their services to children all over the world with
telehealth. Dr. Hugo Bigg along with other volunteer providers have
found working with Connecting Kids with Care to be a very rewarding
experience that continues to provide the practitioners with an
intellectual challenge that does not always present in their practice (Bigg,
H., 2018). The various medical providers perform the volunteer work
from their home or workplace. These practitioners also assist with
preparing the adopting families with the education and social support
they will require to care for a child that has a lot of complications.
These volunteer practitioners are providing care to children based on
medical records composed of charts, photos, scans, and videos that are
visible with telehealth technology (Bigg,
H., 2018). The providers must also consider that some medical records
are incomplete and must modify their recommendations appropriately. The
volunteer providers appreciate the opportunity to help the children to
live a better life with a loving family. Being able to perform the
visits with telehealth also makes volunteer work for the practitioners
more possible, because they can live their normal lives and even provide
care if they are on vacation. Telehealth will enable all medical
professionals to help people from all over the world with their
healthcare needs.
