The professor’s comment is:  Maybe this will help you identify the structural difference between an argumentative thesis and a causal analysis: In an argumentative thesis, there’s at least one opposite argument. In a causal analysts thesis, you’re arguing that there’s a relationship between two things (a cause/effect relationship) that is plausible. Whereas an argumentative essay presents an argument, the causal analysis essay uses argumentation techniques to prove causality.
