Papershould explain the dominant cultural ideas about sexuality and how those ideas relate actual research on people’s sexual practices.  Put another way, we all live in the shadow of our culture’s ideas about sexuality, but research shows that our sexual practices are far more complex than our culture’s ideas would predict.  This means that people strategically negotiate cultural meanings and strive to create pleasurable sexual lives.  In your paper, you should detail both the dominant ideas and some of the ways that significant sexual strategies that sex researchers have identified in terms of people’s actual sexual practices.
