“Disaster’s Impact on First Responders: Challenges, Triggers, and Stigma”

.Welcome to Week 3!
The goal for week 3 is to focus on how disasters specifically affect first responders. The category of first responders includes military, firefighters, and police. The roles that first responders are called to serve in are varied and they are, as their title indicates, the first individuals on the scene of disasters. Just like civilian victims, first responders can develop PTSD and other co-occurring disorders.
