Many employers use virtual meeting rooms to interview potential job candidates. Your first impression of a potential employer and theirs of you comes during an interview. In that scenario, your active listening skills are being evaluated as much as your ability to speak clearly, concisely, and articulately. We also speak loudly in meetings or interactions with our ‘body language.’

Think about a job interview that did not go as well as you would have hoped, either as the interviewer or the interviewee. Using the video recording tool, audio response, or writing option in the discussion post, address the following:
In what ways might you have prepared differently?
How might you have demonstrated active listening skills in that interview to ask or answer questions clearly, concisely, and articulately?
How might bias about the interviewee, interviewer, or the company have impacted your questions or answers and affected your thoughts about how the interview went? Explain your answer.
