The third paper will be at least four (4) pages
long. The topic should be researched, the crime summarized, and include a
personal reflection on the crime. This reflection should be
well-informed by course material.
At minimum, the following questions should be addressed:
1. How severe was the crime?
2. Does the disposition of the crime seem fair?
3. How does this compare to the treatment of violent or “street” criminals?
4. Will the punishment given discourage similar behavior in others?
5. What was the impact on the public as well as the direct victims?
