This is an individual assignment. In our daily lives we always tackle with the design problems. In this assignment, you are expected to develop a novel and creative solution for a daily design, societal or environmental problem in which you encounter (e.g. misplaced pavements/stairs, the doors do not stay open as they are supposed to, inefficient dormitory facilities etc.).
In your assignment make sure you follow these instructions:
First you are expected to define the problem: What is the problem, where did you encounter with the problem and how?
Secondly, you are expected to explain the impact of the problem on various stakeholders. If the problem affects you as individual, then explain how it affects. If the problem affects some specific group or society then briefly explain how it affects.
Thirdly, you are expected to offer a creative solution to that specific problem and justify your solution. Please explain what makes that solution special to fix that problem.
