Applying Ecological Systems Theory to a Media Source on Social Work Intervention

For this assignment, locate and review a media source. The source (news article or video) will focus on an individual in need of social work intervention. The source should be current (within the past two years). Post the link to the media source to the whole class discussion forum. Students will write 2-3 paragraphs (word document) applying the concepts of Ecological Systems theory (habitat, niche, target system, action system, and agency system) to the found media source. Post the media source and the word document to Moodle by Sunday at 11:59pm CST. Please note that you will not see your classmates’ messages until you create your initial post and the 30 minutes editing window has passed.
