Your job for this assignment is to help make the process of active reading – and its benefits – clear for students at Saint Leo University. You will design a document (brochure, flyer, poster, infographic, or bookmark) for other students at the institution to help them understand and implement the active reading strategies
List the active reading strategies identified in the texts you read for this module. Decide which ones will be included in the document you design to teach fellow SLU students about active reading.
Decide the look, design, and platform (brochure, bookmark, flyer, poster, infographic) for your teaching aid. 
– Is there a template available that can save you the trouble of designing the layout of the page? (Hint: Microsoft Word, for example, comes with many creative templates to get you started.) 
– What color scheme, font make sense for what you are trying to do?
– How can you share things you make in that app? (Hint: most apps can export or print to PDF.)
Decide what content goes where. 
– What do the students you are teaching need to know to be able to read actively?
– In what order do they need to learn those things, and how will they navigate the document?
– What legal graphics, pictures, fonts, colors, spatial layout would help them understand the concepts you are trying to teach them?
Write your content and build your multimodal teaching aid.
Annotate your final document, justifying or explaining the choices you made in it by providing at least 8-10 separate annotations.
Upload your document with the title of the genre you chose for it: bookmark, flyer, poster, brochure, infographic. 
Keep in mind that you are required to use sources such as the textbook, course content, other sources for the writing of ALL discussions and assignments in this class, and if you use someone else’s words, definitions, ideas, whether via quoting, or paraphrasing, or summarizing, you are required to cite them and follow the MLA format in doing so to prevent plagiarism. This means that to prevent plagiarizing some of your writing in the document will include in-text citations and that your list of sources will be included within a Works Cited at the end of your writing.
