“Normalizing Racism: Analyzing Two Discourses in Brazil’s Racial Democracy and Their Implications for White Supremacy in the United States”

In Chapter 4 of Racism in a Racial Democracy, Winddance Twine analyzes six types of discourses that Brazilians in Vasalia present to explain “the absence of politicans, church officials, business owners, landowners, professionals, and other positions of prestige and power.” 
Select 2 of the discourses she analyzes.  In an essay, state the  two discourses you will study, summarize Winddance Twine’s analysis for each of the discourses you chose.
