  • Title: “The Intelligent Octopus: Examining the Evidence for Sophisticated Cognition”

This is an higher division level philosophy course I’m taking at univercity about animal mind and cognition. We were able to pick our own topic for the paper, which I picked to be Octopus, since I thought it  would be easy to write about. As my main thesis I wanted to argue for the presence of highly sophisticated levels of intelligence among Octopuses based on the available evidence. As for the main source to be used, we need to use our course reading –  “The Animal Mind: An introduction to the Philosophy of Animal Cogniton” by Kristin Andrews, 2015. File I attache bellow could be of assistance since we had to submit an outline, so it’s prefered that one is followed. For additional sources, there is a documentary about an Octopus on Netflix called “My Octupus Teacher from 2020, as well as a book by Godfrey-Smith called “Other Minds: The Octopus, the Sea, and the Deep Origins of Consiousness.” Paper needs to be 7-8 pages. • Title: Dig Deeper Assignment: The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health Component One: Article: “The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health: A Review of the Literature” by Primack, B. A., Shensa, A

The Dig Deeper assignments have five components, each worth 5 points.
    Component One
Find an article or video related to one of the provided topics for the week.
Provide a link(s) to the material that you have uncovered that will help us all have access to reading (or watching or listening) for ourselves.
This link must be one that is available to the public and does not require a password, or a fee, to access.
    Component Two
Give a seven to ten sentence recap of what the material covers.
Include what is important about the piece that you have chosen, and what it adds to our understanding of the topic that was not provided in the assigned readings.
    Component Three
Talk about your interest in the subject: why did you choose it?
What did you know about the subject before digging deeper, and what new information did you gain from your exploration?
Was what you found consistent with your prior knowledge or did it in some way change your perspective of the subject?
This section should also be seven to ten sentences.
    Component Four
Give a seven to ten sentence description of how  we currently view this topic and what changes have happened in the decades since.  Some examples:
If you choose a political policy, is it still in effect? Has it changed over time? How did it change the world, for better or for worse, for the people who were impacted during the era we are focusing on?
If you choose a diagnosis, has the criteria required to be diagnosed changed? Do we view the diagnosis in the same way that we did during the era we are discussing? Has the stigma of carrying the diagnosis changed, for better or worse?
If you choose a treatment or medication, would you consider it an acceptable course in treating the intended diagnosis?  Does it seem archaic and inhumane? Have the methods we use currently for the diagnosis changed?
If you choose a cultural item, how is it still impacting the world that we live in today?
    Component Five
Include a reference using APA formatting for the material you are sharing.
So, choose a topic that has been included in the material for the week, and get digging.
below is the article provided by my professor, There needs to be a second article that relates to this one.

  • “Abraham Lincoln’s Inaugural Address: A Manifestation of Authentic Servant Leadership” In his inaugural address, President Abraham Lincoln eloquently articulated his argument for the preservation of the Union, showcasing his character as a servant leader. This particular

This week’s Civil Discourse Forum will focus on leadership themes embedded in Abraham Lincoln’s inaugural address. Fully and meaningfully address the prompts below in your main response.
First, review the resources provided on Authentic Servant Leadership in the course, the syllabus page on Authentic Servant Leadership, and read President Abraham Lincoln’s inaugural address (found in CH 15) and Hubbard’s article. Lincoln’s actions during the American Civil War are often cited as prime examples of servant leadership behavior (Hubbard, 2011). What does his argument about preservation of the Union say about his character as a leader? Why does this particular argument qualify as servant leadership? What is at least one word or phrase you might use to describe any positive authentic servant leadership qualities he may possess (examples may include empathy; ethics before profit, inspiring vision; flexibility; humility; foresight; empowering others; etc.). Use textual evidence to support your answer. Remember to make sure your examples are in historical context by highlighting the qualities and then providing an historical example of how and when Abraham Lincoln exemplified those qualities.

  • “Gender Stereotypes in the Workplace: A Quantitative Analysis of Perceptions and Impact on Career Advancement”

TOPIC-  Gender roles and stereotypes in the workplace! (STAY ON THIS TOPIC & THIS TOPIC ONLY)
    Directions
(THIS IS IMPORTANT) There needs to be a quantitative component to your methodology and analysis (see proposal instructions). Be sure to outline the descriptive and inferential statistics you will utilize and why.
FEEDBACK FROM PROFESSOR REGARDING WHAT I ALREADY HAVE
I WOULD NEED THE ASSIGNMENT TO BE FIXED BASED ON THIS FEEDBACK
The Planned Analysis section needs to explain specifically which
descriptive statistics (e.g. mean, median, standard deviation) and inferential
tests (e.g. t-test, ANVOA) will be conducted to analyze your data. This should
be written in the context of your experimental design so it is clear how the
tests are appropriate to your specific experimental approach. Remember, you
need to have a quantitative component to the methods and analysis. The Planned
Methods section also was not clear as written in your previous draft, first because
it did not follow logically from the literature you reviewed in the
Introduction. The Introduction discusses gender roles and stereotypes in the
workplace, but the methods are centered around gender stereotyping of infants
by adolescents. Everything needs to connect logically.
PLEASE ONLY EDIT TO THE ASSIGNMENT I ALREADY WORKED ON (WHICH IS NAMED “MY RESEARCH PROPOSAL”
MAKE CHANGES IF YOU NEED TO BUT PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC!!
In this assignment you will work on these parts
