Exclusion
and marginalisation of children and young people in society today can be unfair,
this essay will use a deconstruction model and explain, that issues of exclusion
and marginalisation provide an important context to
children and young people’s behaviour, which need to be considered if justice
is to be achieved (Conway et al., 2023, p. 202).
There are so many things that can
influence a child or young person and today, technology helps influence further.
However, they also have the media’s influence, parents’ influence, teachers and
peers, and support workers and professionals. at drill music and the speech made by Dame
Cressida Dick, a former Metropolitan Police Commissioner. (Introduction to Criminology,
Book 2, Chapter 14, p177-178). Drill music is a genre of rap/hip hop. When Dame
Cressida Dick talks about drill music she highlights words like ‘stabbings’, ‘murder’,
‘great joy of excitement’, ‘unpredictable’ and ‘risky’, a way of gripping
parents, teachers, and professionals’ attention, using the media to be able to
do so (Muncie and McLaughlin’s three-step
deconstruction model (1996, p. 7).
This is an example
of exclusions and marginalisation and by doing so Dame Cressida Dick can influence
panic in society. It is clear that the Police Commissioner does not like drill
music and this is influencing the Police Commissioners decision and using power
status to serve a punishment of CBO (Criminal Behaviour Order), she is reaching
people in society to associate crime and harm with this genre of music and states
young people speak about violence. There are also mentions of gangs, marginalising
young people to suit the narrative.
The young
adults who were served with a Criminal Behaviour Order were all aged between 17
– 21. There were 5 that had been served with a CBO, all young men, and were of black
ethnic minority. There are contradictions with some of the language that has
been used such as ‘glamorising violence’ and the music should be censored which
Dame Cressida Dick suggested in her speech. (Muncie and McLaughlin’s three-step
deconstruction model (1996, p. 7).
This is argued
with ongoing debates about whether drill tracks are glamourised violence or
whether they show a raw reflection on the violent environments that young
people find themselves growing up in (cited in Introduction to Criminology,
p.181, Ilan, 2020).
The justice system needs to address and respond to children
and young people’s behaviour, and to consider the context of exclusion and
marginalization they may be experiencing. By recognising and addressing
these issues, interventions and support systems can be put in place to help
children and young people cope with their feelings and behaviour effectively.
in conclusion, understanding the role of exclusion and
marginalization in shaping children and young people’s behaviour is crucial for
achieving justice. By addressing these issues proactively and sensitively, we
can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all individuals to
thrive and grow.

“From Dropout to Dean’s List: My Academic Journey”
Reflection Essay – Past, Present, Future
Writing Prompt:
For this assignment, you will create a 5-paragraph essay that includes an introduction paragraph with a thesis statement, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph. Consider what you were feeling/thinking when the semester began, how it proceeded and what your plans are going forward. What did you hope to learn, what did you want to get out of this course, how did you intend to accomplish the goals you set in mind – This is the past you will discuss. Did you succeed at your goal, did everything go as planned/expected, were there surprises, obstacles, challenges? – This is the present. Lastly, what do you intend to do different going forward, have you enrolled in the next semester, do you know what you can do for a “better” term next year, what needs to change, what works so why fix it? – This is the future. This essay is geared toward your academic career specifically not your life in general. Concentrate your discussion on this course, but you are free to mention other courses, but they are not the focus.
Guidelines for a successful Essay:
Three full pages
Times Roman 12-point font
Double spaced
Proper MLA format heading
A strong thesis statement that outlines what the paper will discuss.
Proper formatting for a 5-paragraph essay.
Few to no grammatical/spelling errors.

The Final Charge
I am a high school drop out. That’s not to say I disliked school or learning. In fact, I loved both. I just got bored and decided my time would be better served elsewhere so I took it and myself – elsewhere. However, at some point, I decided a paper hat and “Welcome to McDonald’s” was not the life for me so I enrolled in college and began my journey. The thing is, I didn’t have anyone to guide that journey. My parents earned a midclass living, but they did so in a world that didn’t require a sheepskin paper to earn it. So, I had to figure it out all on my own. I entered campus that first day with great trepidation. I was ready. My backpack was full. My pens were colored. My note pads were coordinated by class. Inside I was a mess though. I couldn’t find buildings. I couldn’t find rooms. “I couldn’t” was becoming the key word, but I was determined. I had to change the narrative. I had a plan. I was what I had always been – dean’s list material. I dropped out of high school, sure, but I did it as a straight A student. Attending college was not going to defeat me. Even though the beginning was a bit shaky, I found my way somewhere in the middle, and the end was as colorful and grand as I had imagined it would be. -

“Exploring the Feasibility and Viability of 3D-Printed Houses: A Comprehensive Pilot Project”
**Introduction:**
The advent of 3D printing technology has revolutionized various industries, including construction, by offering innovative solutions for building design and fabrication. One particularly promising application is the construction of 3D-printed houses, which has the potential to significantly impact the future of housing construction. This pilot project aims to explore the feasibility and viability of 3D-printed houses as a sustainable and cost-effective housing solution.
**Aim:**
The aim of this pilot project is to investigate the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of constructing 3D-printed houses using advanced additive manufacturing techniques. By conducting a comprehensive pilot study, we seek to assess the technical capabilities, structural integrity, and economic viability of 3D-printed housing technology in real-world applications.
**Objectives:**
1. To review existing literature and case studies on 3D-printed housing technology to understand the current state-of-the-art and identify key challenges and opportunities.
2. To establish partnerships with industry stakeholders, including 3D printing technology providers, construction firms, regulatory authorities, and potential end-users, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
3. To design and develop a prototype 3D-printed house using state-of-the-art additive manufacturing techniques, considering factors such as structural stability, thermal performance, and architectural design.
4. To conduct structural testing and analysis to evaluate the performance and durability of the 3D-printed house prototype under various loading conditions and environmental factors.
5. To assess the economic feasibility and cost-effectiveness of 3D-printed housing compared to traditional construction methods, including initial capital investment, operating costs, and long-term maintenance expenses.
6. To evaluate the environmental sustainability and carbon footprint of 3D-printed housing technology, considering factors such as material usage, energy consumption, and waste generation throughout the construction process.
7. To engage with local communities and potential end-users to gather feedback, assess user acceptance, and address social and cultural considerations related to 3D-printed housing design and implementation.
8. To document and disseminate the findings, lessons learned, and best practices from the pilot project to inform future research, policy development, and industry adoption of 3D-printed housing technology. -
