Scenario
You are a student nurse at Rasmussen Hospital and were recently chosen to be the student representative of the newly formed Holistic Nursing Committee. Hospital leadership has asked your committee to address inpatient complaints about the amount of general noise pollution throughout the hospital.
The committee members feel this is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate how the holistic caring process can be applied to addressing the problem of noise pollution in the hospital. They have asked you to write an executive summary for hospital leadership.
You have a basic familiarity with holistic interventions that enhance the inpatient experience and promote healing, but know you will need to investigate evidence-based research about noise reduction and optimization. There are links below. The EPA and WHO information is important for this assignment.
Instructions

“The Depths of Oedipus: A Thematic Analysis” Introduction: Sophocles’ play Oedipus is a classic tragedy that tells the story of a man who unknowingly fulfills a prophecy and commits unspeakable acts
Thematic Analysis
3 Pages, 12 pt. font, 1-inch margins
Due: May 15
Overview:
Themes are ideas that get repeated or returned to over the course of a work of literature. Themes can tell us what a work of literature is “about” in a deeper sense. In Oedipus, we discussed two themes: fate and free will and sight and blindness. We also discussed the technique of dramatic irony. Dramatic irony is not a theme, but it is a technique that is repeated throughout Oedipus and can also tell us what it is about.
In this essay, you will use an analysis of one of the two themes or the technique of dramatic irony that we discussed to make an argument about what Oedipus is about on a deeper level.
Sample Outline:
Paragraph 1: Introduction
Give an account of what Oedipus is about on the surface
Introduce the theme or technique that helps you to see what Oedipus is about on a deeper level
Explain in brief what you will discuss in your two body paragraphs
Provide your thesis, or argument
Paragraphs 2-4: Evidence
Start with a topic sentence that describes how the theme or technique operates in a particular moment in the text
Introduce and contextualize the moment in the text
Provide a quote that illustrates the theme or technique at work in that moment
Explain how the quote illustrates the theme or technique
Tie back to your thesis
Paragraph 5: Conclusion
Reflect on what you think Oedipus is about on a deeper level
Make connections to your own experience, our current moment, or other topics and considerations
Instructions:
In a Word or Google Doc, write your essay. Be sure to use quotes to back up your claims and to cite your quotes properly using MLA format. See the attached evaluation guide for how I will be evaluating you. -

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TERM PROJECT
Your term project is an integrative summary of seven short papers.
Each paper that you read must be at least three pages long. For example, if you read a newspaper article that in only 2 pages long, it will not count as one of your papers.
For each paper that you read, you must summarize the paper in approximately one page, but usually about 3/4 page.
Each paper that you read must be preceded by a bibliographical citation.
After summarizing all the papers, you must write an Integrative Summary that ties all the papers together and demonstrate how they address a narrow topic. For example, How Pharmacies in England resisted resisted laws to limit the free distribution of addictive opium during the 19th Century.
These papers may be from the academic literature or current news on drug controls, the drug war, history of illicit or psychoactive drugs or drug policies from anywhere in the world. You may select articles from journal articles or working papers on Drug Policies, Economic Analysis, Economic Historical Analysis, Medical History, Scientific Analysis, International Diplomacy, and Social and Philosophical Analysis.
Finally, the documents you cite must include research papers, magazine articles, newspaper article or government policy documents published during the last 10 years.
Your bibliography topic must be narrow and specific. You cannot select papers that address the War on Drugs in general. An example of an acceptable topic could be “The Medellin Cartel: It’s Rise and Fall” or Comparing the Methods of Pablo Escobar and Other Drug Gangs or How the Dutch Profited from the Trade in Opium and Why and When they Ceased to Trade in Opium
The bibliographical selection may address topics from the examples listed below or other topics that you may select:

“The Preservation of Childhood: The Primary Meaning of Catcher in the Rye”
The assignment is described as such, ” For this essay, you will argue what you feel is the primary meaning of your chosen text (either Pride and Prejudice, Brave New World, or The Catcher in the Rye) and show how this meaning is revealed in the work. You can choose from many different literary elements for this paper—such as theme, plot, characterization, the use of literary/rhetorical devices, tone, symbols or motifs, etc.—or you can explore a critical “problem” in one of these texts—a frequently discussed and unresolved issues in the literary criticism. But ultimately your paper should argue an overall point: both WHAT the text’s key meaning is and HOW this meaning is revealed.”
I chose to write about Catcher in the Rye which is the only source you need to quote from, because you can choose anything to write about the thesis should be along the lines of this, “The purpose of Holden’s story is to preserve one’s childhood as long as possible as the preservation of childhood is also the preventative means of becoming a “phony”” This is what the entire paper should revolve around, use evidence from the book to back this up. VERY IMPORTANT to adequately analyze the text, my teacher wants us to take a VERY close look into the language of the quotes, as in how specific, individual words convey a deeper meaning and one that relates to the Thesis. try an use evidence from across the book but don’t over-quote. Lastly, I have some examples of what I mean by the thesis which I will lay out for you to expand on with evidence. First, Holden hates New York as it epitomizes American consumerism related to adulthood and growing up. Holden’s purpose is to be the “Catcher in the Rye” as he wants to keep them from growing up and becoming phony like himself. This brings me to a big point, Holden himself wants to prevent kids from growing up as his childhood was cut short by the death of his brother Allie. In this shortcut childhood, Holden had to grow up and try and be a phony to fit in but ultimately hates himself and those around him for it. He also is more distant from his brother DB as he is the epitome of consumerism-driven adulthood, of the phonies, and what’s phonier than acting as someone else at the movies? Lastly, Holden has such a hard time fitting in as he can’t even accept himself. Write this essay with one indtorduction paragraph to set up thesis then CEW, claim, evidence, warrant, body paragrpahs and end with conclusion paragraph. Thank you! -
Title: Predicting Ticket Sales Patterns and Top Purchasers for 2016 Using Regression Analysis
Ticket sales patterns (15 points)
i. Create a model to predict ticket revenues or ticket revenue groups
for 2014 using the previous five years of data.
ii. Test your model on 2015 data. Comment.
iii. Make predictions for ticket purchases in 2016 (Like the Moneyball
example, the data of 2016 is missing. Assume that the coefficients
and the intercept values for the model created in point (ii) will be
the same for predicting 2016).
iv. Based on your model, who should be the top 10 ticket purchasers
for 2016?
I need the answers to the questions above, I need the top 10 in an excel file and the rest screenshots of the work done in R. -

video recorder or similar device. In order to post the separate video lecture for your instructor to
review, please follow the instructions below:
1. Set up a personal user account on YouTube (if you don’t have one already). You can
access Youtube in the Final Presentation Project Resources.
2. Download your video lecture to your computer.

your video in order to make it available for viewing. Since both uploading and processing can
take an indeterminate amount of time, you should plan ahead so that you are able to post your
video by the required deadline. It is highly recommended that you allow a window of at least 4
hours prior to the deadline in order to allow for potential hang-ups. Also, keep in mind that
your video must not be less than five minutes or exceed 8 minutes.
The PowerPoint presentation that you create needs to correspond with the video lecture because
your instructor will be viewing both simultaneously. Therefore, as you record your lecture, you
will need to use verbal cues to indicate that your audience should advance to the next slide. Your
PowerPoint presentation must be between 8–12 slides addressing the sections detailed
above. (The introduction and reference slide at the conclusion does not add to the total.)
