Systems of Equations: Applications and Problem-Solving
Homework #7 – Systems of Equations: Applications and Problem-Solving
Directions: Complete the following problems on a separate sheet of paper. Show all work.
For the following problems, identify the variables and solve.
1. At Big Al’s hot dog stand, 2 hot dogs and 3 sodas cost $7. The cost of 4 hot dogs and 2
sodas is $10. Determine the cost of a hot dog and the cost of a soda.
2. The Wing Place sells both regular size and jumbo size orders of Buffalo chicken wings.
Three regular orders and five jumbo orders of wings cost $67. Four regular and four
jumbo orders of wings cost $64. Determine the cost of a regular order of wings and a
jumbo order of wings.
3. Copier Rental an office equipment company rents copiers for a monthly fee plus a fee
per copy. Julie rents a copier and was charged $175 for making 1500 copies in March and
$223 for making 2300 copies in April. What is the monthly fee and what is the fee per
copy?
4. Franco runs a grocery store. He wishes to mix 40 pounds of coffee to sell for a total cost
of $219. To obtain the mixture, he will mix coffee that sells for $5.20 per pound with
coffee that sells for $6.30 per pound. How many pounds of each coffee should he use?
5. Rick, a sales associate for MJC Security, earns a monthly salary plus a commission on his
sales. In January his total compensation on sales of $14,000 was $4400. In February his
total compensation on sales of $10,000 was $3800. Determine Rick’s monthly salary and
his commission rate.
6. Linda recently purchased a Kawasaki Jet Ski and a trailer for a total price of $11,200.
The price of the Jet Ski was $1000 more than 5 times the price of the trailer. Determine
the price of the Jet Ski and the price of the trailer.
7. One serving of lemonade has more sugar than one serving of Coca-Cola. Lemonade has
17 fewer grams of sugar than twice the amount that Coca-Cola has. The difference in the
amount of sugar in lemonade and in Coca-Cola is 8 grams. Determine the amount of
sugar in one serving of lemonade and the amount of sugar in one serving of Coca-Cola. -
“Improving Warehouse Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction through Real-Time Tracking and Asset Management”
The mine objective of this study is to
explore application of real time tracking and asset management in warehouses.
Report stats there was increasing problem with monitoring stocks levels as well
as losses due to stock pallets been missing or misplaced leading to increased

Some of the issues include the data collection process, proper documentation, and making appropriate decisions on employee performance. Your manager has asked you to evaluate and update their current performance evaluation process and present it as a training module to a group of new supervisors in your organization. Apply the revised or improved evaluation process to the specific job you created in the Week 3 assignment. Note that your manager has asked you to present the new process in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.
Create a PowerPoint presentation with speaker’s notes to present this new tool to new supervisors.
Create a PowerPoint presentation to present this new tool to new supervisors. Include the following points:
Explain the benefits of using performance evaluations.
Assess the existing performance evaluation used in the organization.
Create a sample of the performance evaluation tool selected for the company.
Justify the selection of the performance evaluation tool.
Develop a detailed, step-by-step description of the evaluation process.
The PowerPoint presentation should be a minimum of 10 slides with corresponding speaker’s notes, in addition to a title slide and references slide. Include graphics as needed to improve, enhance, or clarify the content. -

Title: Exploring Survey Results: A Data Report on Student Attitudes Towards Online Learning
This Is the survey link we create https://sfsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8rnpYP5KpKUZFI2 Data report:Four single-variable visualizations: Choose four individual questions to create visualizations (graph or chart) to display your survey question results using descriptive statistics. The visualizations can be created in Google Sheets/Excel or another program. You are not allowed to use the Qualtrics graphs for this. For each visualization, your group will provide a narrative interpreting and explaining the results and what conclusion you can draw from the data.
One two-variable comparison visualization: Using your research objectives, select two variables you want to compare to each other, identify the appropriate bivariate statistical test to use, and conduct the analysis using Qualtrics. Provide a visualization (graph or chart) and a narrative interpreting and explaining the p-value and what conclusion you draw from the data.Note: Qualtrics will give you the p-value, but it will not tell you which bivariate statistical test it used to calculate it so you will need to decide what test is correct on your own.
What to include for your four single-variable data visualizations:
List the survey question and brief summary of data results.
Provide a visualization for each chosen survey question. This can be a histogram/bar chart, pie chart, line chart, scatter chart, etc. Choose the best chart to fit the survey question and display the results. Include a title and label your axes or provide a legend so the data visualization can be read on its own.
Present the mean and standard deviation for continuous variables or frequency/proportion (%) for categorical variables. Include an explanation of what they tell the reader/audience.
Present an interpretation explaining the results and what conclusions you draw from the data.
What to include for your one two-variable comparison data visualization:
List the research question being asked by comparing the two variables.
Conduct a correlation coefficient, chi-square test, or t-test/ANOVA depending on the best fit for the survey question. Report the p-value in the written text. Interpret what the p-value tells you.
Present an interpretation explaining the results and what conclusions you draw from the data.
Survey data report format:
APA Cover Page (includes page number, running header, your title/topic, names of all group members, department affiliation)
Four single-variable data visualizations (present each one on its own page)
One two-variable comparison data visualization (present on its own page)

“Strategic Choices in the Pacific Theater: Evaluating America’s Campaign in World War II”
After six months of constant defeat, America scored an historic victory against Japan at Midway in June 1942 and then launched its first offensive in August at Guadalcanal. After a victory there and at Buna in New Guinea in January 1943, a strategic debate evolved between those desiring an island-hopping campaign across the Central Pacific and those preferring an advance across the northern coast of New Guinea to the Philippines. The Central Pacific drive was endorsed by Pacific Fleet commander Admiral Chester Nimitz, the Philippines option by Southwest PACIFIC Area Commander General Douglas MacArthur. Evaluate the American Pacific campaign of World War II. Which approach do you find better suited America’s vast capabilities at this time?

Title: Understanding and Treating Dissociative Identity Disorder: An Exploration of Symptoms, Treatment, and Current Research
The topic of my paper is on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
my abstract is: Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is a complex and often misunderstood psychiatric condition characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality states within an individual. This paper will not only describe the symptoms of DID but also highlighting other important factors such as treatment and the research that is being done to find where DID arises from. Symptoms can range from amnesia and identity fragmentation to profound dissociation. Despite advancements in research and treatment modalities, there’s still much work to be done in fully comprehending the underlying mechanisms and improving therapeutic interventions. Current treatment approaches, including psychotherapy and medication, aim to integrate dissociated identities and address underlying trauma. By exploring these aspects comprehensively, we can gain a deeper understanding of DID and work towards more effective interventions and support systems for individuals living with this condition. Advocating for increased awareness, funding, and support for research on DID is crucial to enhancing our understanding and effectively supporting individuals that have to deal with this disorder everyday.
I was told by my professor that I should narrow down the detail for the paper also.
I have attached the outline for the paper also that includes the sources that I would like to use.
I also have provided a doctument on the paper description that was given to me by my teacher. -
