  • “The Covenant Relationship: Examining the Biblical Perspective on Contracts and Commitments”

    The word “contract” is not found in the Bible. However, the word “covenant” is found frequently. A covenant means an alliance or a pledge and in many ways is similar to a contract. I maintain that our relationships with God, in my opinion, often look like a contract or, as the scripture puts it, a covenant. For example, God offers us everlasting life if we accept Christ Jesus as our Lord and
    Savior, recognizing that we must repent for our sins and follow His teachings. What other examples of covenants are found in Scripture? In addition, what importance does the Bible place on keeping one’s word? Why are these things so closely intertwined? Explain.

    This workout is a great way to get your heart rate up, burn calories and improve muscular strength. Pick different exercises that you do in a standing position and mix them in with different exercises you do on the floor or a mat.
    Some examples of standing exercises are:

    Balance Touches

    Skater Plyos
    Standing leg extension (balance on 1 leg)
    Any standing arm exercise with dumbbells (lateral raise, overhead press, rows, kick backs)

    Stakeholder support is necessary for a successful project implementation. Consider your internal stakeholders    , such as the facility, unit, or health care setting where the change proposal is being considered, and your external stakeholders, like an individual or group outside the health care setting.   • “The Fall of Toys R Us: A Case Study on the Effects of Bankruptcy on Stakeholders”

    Find a major company that recently filed for bankruptcy. Do not choose JcPenney, Guitar Center, Hertz or Sears.  Research current articles and find at least three (3) credible sources.  Cite your sources and the end of the research paper. There is no formality required for citations.  
    Your paper must include all 5 of the following areas:
    (1) Identify the company including the name, location, type of business, etc. Give me some background of what the company does/sells, where and to whom. 
    (2) Explain what type of bankruptcy that was filed (which Chapter) and why the company filed that type of bankruptcy (in other words, define the bankruptcy filed and explain why it was best that the company filed that particular Chapter).  
    (3) Discuss why the company filed for bankruptcy (what led to this point, was it a recent problem or ongoing, did they have other options, etc);
    (4) *Discuss the purpose of the bankruptcy laws;
    (5) *Even if done in good faith, discuss which stakeholders might be disadvantaged by the process and why. Stakeholders could include employees, creditors, shareholders, suppliers, and even customers. Please discuss at least three of these stakeholders and how they were affected. *
    (6) *Discuss how or why a company might take advantage of these laws unfairly and whether you believe the company abused the system and why. Think about how stakeholders, particularly creditors, are affected and if the bankruptcy process is fair for them.* 
    (7) Is the company still operating today and, if yes, how it was affected (i.e., size, structure, focus, etc.) How has the company changed? If the bankruptcy was only recently filed, conclude how they may be affected by the bankruptcy.

  • “Reflections on the Human Condition: An Artistic Representation” Slide #1: – Name: [Your Name] – Course Title: HUM 490: Humanities in Healthcare – Assignment Due Date: [Due Date] – Picture/

    Part A: Using clay, water colors, colored pencils, pastels, fabrics, paper mache’, yarn, and/or other art medium of your choice, create a piece that represents the human condition as you have come to understand and experience it in this course. You may also choose to do an original performance e.g. dance, music, theater, or poetry that you personally author and create. You or a helper can film you in performance. Your piece (regardless if it created or performed) should be an original work that arises out of your own creativity in understanding and expressing your deep sense of the human condition.
    Note: This assignment is not about your level of artistic talent. It is about how you synthesize key learnings/topics presented throughout the course. Therefore no personal judgements permitted.     Within your PowerPoint, include three APA in-text citations drawn from the course textbook, videos, or articles assigned during the course  that embody /support your understanding/perspective of the human condition. Please do not include any other resources i.e. articles, or books from any other courses taken during your RN to BSN program.  APA resources should be exclusively from the HUM 490 course.
    The last slide of the PowerPoint should be a Reference slide in which you do APA references (7th edition)  for the three in-slide references you included in the PowerPoint. 
    Incorporate the tenants of good PowerPoint design in terms of consistent font use, clean lay-out, and the use of color to promote engagement.
