Title: Ethical Considerations in Patient Care: A Case Study Analysis
Assignment Overview:
Case box example 3.3 (page 57) of your ‘Leading and Managing in Nursing’ eBook: In Estate of Travaglini v. Ingalls Health (2009), an 84-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital with general complaints of “not feeling well.” At the time of his admission, the physician told the admitting nurse that the patient had dysphagia and must be observed whenever he was eating or trying to swallow liquids. At 10:00 that evening, an aide came to the patient’s room and left a sandwich for him to eat. Shortly afterward, the patient’s roommate heard the patient choking and summoned help. At autopsy, it was confirmed that he had aspirated the turkey sandwich, and that this was the cause of the cardiopulmonary arrest that killed the patient. Though liability was found against the aide and her supervisor, the court also upheld a verdict of $500,000 against the hospital.
Assignment Instructions:
In your eBook, this client care scenario is viewed from a legal lens and how the UAP, the supervisor, and the hospital were found negligent. Because ethics and legal principles often overlap, consider the same scenario from an ethical standpoint. Answer the following questions, record your answers on a Word document, and upload it below. Always give credit to your sources.
Define beneficence and non-maleficence. Discuss how they are similar, yet different, and give examples of each.
How were both of these ethical principles not upheld in the given scenario?
Rewrite the scenario of this client with dysphagia to uphold these ethical principles. Consider the rights of delegation. What could the provider, admitting nurse, and the UAP do differently to ‘do good’ while also ‘doing no harm’? What provider orders should be included?
Start your scenario with the same opening sentence: An 84-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital with general complaints of “not feeling well.”
Submission Guideline:
Record your responses on a Word document and upload it below.
Give credit to your sources using APA 7th edition format; use both in-text citations and on a reference page. -

“Assessing and Addressing Spiritual Needs in Healthcare: A Christian Perspective”
Assessment Description
For this final
assignment, you will be tasked to review your work in the Topic 3 case study
and continue to analyze the case to best determine spiritual care interventions
throughout their plan of care. In particular, the focus will be on the
Christian application of the four principles (beneficence, nonmaleficence, respect for autonomy, and
justice), as well as appropriate options in
providing a patient with spiritual care.
Based on the chart
you completed and questions you answered in Topic 3 about “Case Study: Healing and
Autonomy” and reading the topic Resources, complete the “Patient’s Spiritual Needs:
Case Analysis” document, in which you will analyze the case study
in relation to the following:
Patient autonomy
Christian perspective and actions related to sickness and health,
principles of beneficence, and nonmaleficence
Spiritual needs assessment and appropriate interventions for all
involved in providing care
Accountability that would demonstrate an ethical manner that
reflects professional standards of practice and person-centered care and
participatory approach to care
Note:
Participatory approach to care calls for involving stakeholders, particularly
the participants in a program or those affected by a given policy, in specific
aspects of the evaluation process. The approach covers a wide range of
different types of participation, and stakeholders can be involved at any stage
of the impact evaluation process, including its design, data collection,
analysis, reporting, and managing a study. Also, person-centered care is “empowering people to take
charge of their own health rather than being passive recipients of
services” (WHO, 2021). This care strategy is based on the belief that
patient views, input, and experiences can help improve overall health outcomes.

response using only the following attached Resources:

“Promoting Group Counseling: Presenting and Recruiting for a Stress Reduction Group” Title: Group Proposal Presentation and Skills Demonstration
Imagine you have an opportunity to present your group proposal to your colleagues, supervisor, and interns at your clinic. It is your goal to promote your group by sharing the details of your group and also provide your colleagues with a script to recruit new members. In this Discussion, you will use Kaltura to share a presentation, and then you will respond to each other to demonstrate the use of a specific counseling skill.
Example script to a client:
You have been working on your goals of addressing your chronic stress. When we first started, you shared that your stress level was at a 9. You have been working hard utilizing your coping strategies, and after a month, you indicated that you are feeling that your stress level is at a 6. You are making great progress. This month, I will be facilitating a group that will focus on stress reduction. I think you would really benefit from this group, as this would give you an opportunity to connect with other people who have similar goals. The group will meet for 8 weeks here at the clinic. Would you be interested in participating?
To prepare:
Review the Learning Resources and Discussion prompt.

Strategic Analysis: Stocks, Options, and Bonds Evaluation for XYZ Company
Strategic Analysis: Stocks, Options, and Bonds Evaluation
In this assignment, you will dive deep into the realm of stocks, bonds, and options, leveraging the knowledge and tools acquired in Units I-III. Through a fictitious company scenario, you will evaluate various investment avenues, assess potential risks, analyze the time value of money, and draw strategic financial conclusions. This practical application aims to equip you with the analytical skillset crucial for the real-world corporate finance setting.
1. Company Profile:
Choose a fictitious company. Create a brief profile, including its industry, market position, and financial standing. You may refer to real-world companies for inspiration but ensure that your company’s details remain fictional. Describe all of this in the introduction to your case study, providing a clear background for the topic and the main points of your paper.
2. Stock Analysis:
Identify three potential stock investments for the company.
For each stock, analyze its historical returns over the past five years.
Estimate the future return of each stock using the methods described in Chapter 6.
Assess the associated risks, employing tools like probability ranges in normal distribution, mean, and standard deviation.
Discuss the influence of market efficiency on these stocks, referring to the Fama-French three-factor model and the capital asset pricing model (CAPM).
Reflect on any known behavioral finance phenomena, like retail trading or meme stocks, which could affect these investments.
Select one of the stocks for an in-depth analysis. Identify the key components of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, statement of stockholders’ equity, and statement of cash flows. Apply financial ratio analysis to interpret financial statements and assess the company’s financial performance. In your analysis, discuss whether you think the stock would be a good investment.
3. Option Analysis:
Pinpoint two financial options that could be beneficial for the company.
Utilize the single-period and multiperiod binomial option pricing models and the Black-Scholes option pricing model (OPM) to evaluate these options.
Determine the potential risks and benefits of each option, considering the company’s specific context.
Evaluate the price of a put option for each and provide a rationale for your valuations.
4. Bond Analysis:
Your company is also considering an expansion. Board members have talked about issuing bonds to cover the cost of expansion.
Distinguish between different financial strategies and tools used in leading an organization, including the issuance and valuation of bonds.
Explain the importance of bond market dynamics, such as the relationship between interest rates and bond prices in shaping organizational financial strategies.
Discuss whether you think this is a viable option in today’s market.
5. Recommendations:
After your thorough analysis, offer a strategic financial recommendation:
Which stock and option investments should the company consider?
Justify your recommendations based on potential returns, associated risks, and the time value of money. Identify the key factors, such as inflation and interest rates, which influence the dynamic nature of money’s value over time.
Be sure to include a conclusion that is clear, concise, and thorough, summarizing the key points of your paper.
Compile your analysis and recommendations into a comprehensive report, ensuring it is well-structured and professionally presented. The report should range from 5 to 12 pages, including charts and graphs. You are required to use a minimum of four sources; at least two of which must come from the CSU Online Library. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
