    Overview
    This journal offers the opportunity to reflect on what you have learned and how you will integrate the feedback you have received and into your final film study.
    Prompt
    Learning is essentially about changing behavior—knowledge, skills, or attitudes. What changes have you experienced in what you know, feel, or can do as a result of this course? Discuss these changes and suggest ways you can apply this learning in your film study. This is a reflective opportunity for you to take time to think about what you have learned and how it can apply to your final project. Be sure to address cultural relativism and anthropological concepts.
    Be sure that your journal includes each of the following critical elements:
    Learning: Identify what you have learned by discussing changes in what you know, feel, and/or can do as a result of this course. What specific course concepts have you been able to apply in your daily life? Be sure to address cultural relativism and anthropological concepts in your discussion.
    Application to Film Study: Discuss specific ways you can apply what you learned to your film analysis for the final project.

  • “Developing an Original Program: From Idea to Execution”

    ASSIGNMENT: For this Touchstone, you will learn how to effectively plan, design, develop, and test an original program of your choosing. This program is your choice and it can be as complex as you wish. The goal is to start with an idea for your program and then step through the process of most phases of the development lifecycle to turn your idea into an actual program. This includes planning out the algorithm using pseudocode, coding your program using everything you learned from Units 1-3, and finally, testing and debugging your program to make sure it fulfills your intended purpose.     Format
    Each paper must be in APA 7 format (NO ABSTRACT) and include a title page, body *Thesis is the last sentence in the first paragraph of the body* (include subheadings above), and references/work cited page. Intext citations are required when citing your sources and must be in the correct APA format. Be sure to use proper paragraphs and indent your paragraphs.The length of the body of each paper is to be 1500, written in 12-point font and double-spaced, papers should be a minimum of 1500 words, not counting the title page, and reference page. Papers are to be submitted through the canvas course website.

    Introduction  
    According to Bell and Leopold (2017), Asian Americans are “overlooked in organizational diversity efforts and research and are viewed as not needing assistance and inclusion in efforts to ensure fairness” (p. 203). In addition, Asian Americans have experienced increased discrimination, prejudice, stereotypes, racial microaggressions, and verbal and violent physical attacks known as crimes in the United States over the past several years.

    Why are Asian Americans often overlooked relative to diversity and inclusion efforts in the workplace?
