    Hello Class,

Here’s Your Extra Credit Assignment below: 5 pts will be added to your final average in this class. (But you ‘must’ meet the instruction requirements – or less or no points will be provided)
See Chapter 16: 16.6 Career Corner:  Managing Your Career Readiness

    Further Details and Instructions
First: Provide a Cover Page (required title headings – don’t ask if you don’t know this by now) – Next: three complete paragraphs (including content mentioned from the 6 tips for managing your career), And, Last: the closing (begin the para with a closing phrase or word with you wrapping up what the assignment did for you as you discuss ‘Managing Your Career for Readiness’).
Note: Keep in mind, you are in college for gaining employment/entrepreneur knowledge, skills and abilities – so let me see that your writing relates to this very premise.
Due Date: 6/23/24 by 11:59pm – Absolutely No exceptions –  Upload the extra credit to the Canvas Inbox

  • Title: Exploring Incompatibilism, Compatibilism, and Freedom in Plato’s Ring of Gyges

    Part 1: Define and explain:
    (a) The two forms of incompatibilism (b) Compatibalism
Part 2: Plato’s Ring of Gyges. In this story, Gyges finds a ring which makes him invisible (just like Lord of the Rings). Often the story is stated such that when you are invisible you are “free to do anything you wish,” but there are many things you can’t do. If you couldn’t do math before, you still can’t. If you don’t know how to play an instrument, you still can’t. So, it seems that in some areas, freedom requires education. (a) At what point in our lives do we truly become free where we are truly responsible for our actions (if ever)? Was Gyges responsible not matter what age he was when he put on the ring? ( b) When we do reach the point of being responsible (whatever age that happens to be), then are people only free to reach the limits of their natural abilities? (i.e., I can’t be held responsible for not being as fast as a professional runner.). Which natural abilities do we have that have limits? (intelligence? Strength? All of them?) Are there any abilities we have that don’t have limits?

give you a competitive edge. We start the creation of every course with a set
of core elements tied to program goals, objectives, and outcomes for the
