Technical Brief: Proactive Adversarial Detection Plan for Healthcare Firm Introduction As a security analyst in a healthcare firm, it is crucial to ensure that the system is fully patched and up to date to prevent any potential vulnerabilities. In order to remed Title: Cybersecurity Threats and Countermeasures for Small Businesses
The project milestone is attached below as well as the original scenario utilized. This should help complete this assignment.
Scenario One
As a new security analyst in a healthcare firm, you have been tasked
with getting the system fully patched and up to date. To remediate a
vulnerability with third-party software, the vendor requires a clone of
the system (a complete copy of the application, including all its data)
be sent to their facilities so they can do their own testing on it.
Overview
One of the three focus projects for this course is creating a technical brief
based on the research you’ve conducted. The audience for this brief is
the security or IT director for the fictional organization for which you
work. This technical brief will serve as the basis for a proactive
adversarial detection plan that your director will be creating. The
final product represents an authentic demonstration of competency
because, as a security analyst, you must develop skills that use a
variety of methods and tools to detect, characterize, and counter cyber
threat actors. Your work will contribute to larger team projects across
your organization. This project will also help you develop an important
mindset: thinking responsibly and proactively about what threat actors
would do to attack organizational assets.
The project incorporates one milestone, which will be submitted in Module Five. The project will be submitted in Module Seven.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course competency:
Develop reliable, ethical methods to detect, characterize, and counter cyber threat actors
Scenario
In a course announcement, your instructor will provide some scenarios
for you to choose from. In your chosen scenario, you are a security
analyst, creating a technical brief for the security or IT director
explaining how the situation informs the larger proactive adversarial
detection plan they are writing for the organization. The specific
technical information, results, or determinations you need are supplied
within the scenario. Your brief should address each critical element in
the Project Three prompt, discussing your best-practice tactics or
methods recommendations based on your research from the decision aid you
completed as the milestone for this project. The Conclusion section of
this activity requires you to expand on all the research you did for the
decision aid.
Prompt
In your technical brief, you must address the critical elements listed below.
Introduction
Identify your threat actors and characterize their
motivations or desired outcomes. Use research from the Project Three
resource guide or decision aid to support your response. For example, is
the threat actor gathering information for financial gain?
Analysis
Describe best practices or methods for detecting the threat actors from the scenario. Use research from the Project Three resource guide or decision aid to support your response.
Describe ethical and legal factors that should be
considered and their significance in terms of the company for which you
are employed in the scenario. Use research from the Project Three
resource guide or decision aid to support your response.
Describe at least one tactic or method that is important in responding to and countering this threat actor. Use research from the Project Three resource guide or decision aid to support your response.
Describe at least one tactic or method that would be employed to reduce the likelihood
of the same situation happening again. Use research from the Project
Three resource guide or decision aid to support your response.
Conclusion
Explain the potential ramifications of the tactics or methods you have suggested. Use research from the resource guide or decision aid to support your response.
What to Submit
Your submission should be approximately 2 pages in length (plus a
cover page and references) and should be written in APA format. Use
double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins.
Include at least three references, which should be cited according to
APA style. Use a file name that includes the course code, the assignment
title, and your name—for example,

“Addressing Health Disparities and Improving Healthcare: A Discussion on Concepts, Social Determinants of Health, and the Donabedian Model” Improving Treatment Adherence and Reducing PTSD Symptoms in Military Veterans with PTSD: A Comparison of Virtual Check-ins with the Teach Back Method vs. Traditional In-Person Sessions
Step 1 Introduction:
Open up a Word Document and write directly into the word document. Remember you need to save on your computer and another reliable drive or computer. You don’t want to lose your work, so save often and to 2 different places….ALWAYS! Save as you go and do not wait until your assignment is complete to save or you will risk losing information.
Write an introduction to the discussion. A good, solid introduction will grab the reader’s attention by stating interesting facts, statistics or points about your topic. Then you should conclude this introductory paragraph by including one, concise thesis or purpose statement. The thesis tells the reader why you are writing the discussion. The entire paragraph should be about 3-5 sentences. Keep in mind that paragraphs should include a topic sentence, 2-3 support sentences (min.) and one concluding statement (thesis sentence). Review APA manual 7th edition section 3.4 for details on starting your paper and rules on introductions.
Step 2 Concepts:
Use a proper heading with this section, then begin your 2nd paragraph. You can look at APA p. 47-49 for the proper level of headings. In this section you need to differentiate among research, evidence-based practice (EBP) and quality improvement (QI) in a robust discussion. When you differentiate between these concepts, they should explain why they are similar (if applicable) or different and should summarize similarities and differences rather than definitions. In fact, you should be paraphrasing what you review in the textbooks about these concepts and describe how they are applied to your specific phenomenon of interest (POI) and in relationship to your Advanced Practice Nurse role. This section should be no more than 2 paragraphs. Textbooks/peer reviewed resources serve as great resources here.
Step 3 Health Disparities
In this section you are taking a deeper dive into health disparities. According to the Centers for Disease Control, health disparities are experienced by socially disadvantaged groups of people based on preventable differences in the burden of disease, injury, violence, or opportunities that would allow you to otherwise achieve optimal health. Health disparities are inequitable and have a direct correlation to unequal distribution of resources. They can be improved though. Addressing the social determinants of health can help by addressing the positive and negatives associated with 5 key domains: economic stability, education access and quality, health care access and quality, neighborhood and built environment, and social and community context. In this section you should provide a robust discussion on how a person’s health or burden of disease is impacted by these domains. Be sure to discuss these areas in relation to your POI/APN Role. Support this section with peer reviewed references. You should have 2-3 well developed paragraphs for this section.
Be sure to review the links that were provided to you in the Readings/Resources section of the module:
Health Disparities LinkLinks to an external site.
Social Determinants of HealthLinks to an external site.
Step 4: Donabedian Model:
In this section of the discussion, you will differentiate among 3 measures: structure, process, and outcomes. Be sure to clearly describe how they are different. Then you will apply each of the measures (structure, process, outcome) directly to your POI. Think about why you chose that POI and what you would like to change in practice. What did you describe in your clinical question of the POI approval process? Is there a new policy, a metric that you want to improve? This should guide the direction of your focus for each of your measures as you determine what is needed to accomplish change. Likewise, this serves as a building block for future assignments. Each measure should be specific rather than generalized so that you can see exactly what is needed to determine success or failure. Below is a comparison of a general versus specific measure. You will re-visit the concept of structure, process, and outcome measures throughout the coursework and program so be sure that you have a good understanding of the concepts now. Be sure to incorporate peer reviewed references throughout your discussion. You should include 2-3 paragraphs for this section.
Incorrect General Measure that lacks specificity: Patient satisfaction scores will be improved.
Correct Measure that includes specicity: Patient satisfaction scores will be 85% or higher and evaluated quarterly for improvements.
Be sure to review the link below for assistance on the measures
Donabedian ModelLinks to an external site.
Step 5 Conclusion:
Include a heading and write your conclusion paragraph. A good conclusion:-never introduces new info.-summarizes what was learned/discussed and does not simply state what you did or re-state only the purpose statement-citations are not expected in this section.
Step 6: Turnitin:
Submit your initial post ONLY to Turnitin. Be sure to review the info. on turnitin so you know how to submit, what to look for when your report is returned, etc. Rather than focus on the percentage of similarity, review what was highlighted and change anything that can and should be changed. There is some wording that can’t be changed, i.e. quality of life, American Academy of Pediatrics, Institute of Medicine Aims, so don’t worry about those. Focus on changing the areas of similarity that you can change and re-submit the paper. You do not have to submit this report to the assignment area; faculty will review the reports directly in Turnitin. You do NOT have to submit the cross or peer posts to Turnitin.
Initial Post References:
Minimum of 2 peer reviewed from journals that are current (within 5 years) references in the initial post; no more than 1000 words excluding headings, in-text citations, and references.
Copy and paste your discussion directly into the discussion area. Attachments should not be included in the discussion area. No title page needed. Try to make sure that there is at least 1 space in between all paragraphs and individual references. You do not need to double space this document. You are permitted to use first person for these informal discussions.
PICO Question: Among military veterans diagnosed with PTSD (P), does the integration of virtual weekly check-ins utilizing the Teach Back Method (I) result in superior treatment adherence and greater reduction in PTSD symptoms (O) compared to traditional in-person sessions supplemented with handouts (C)? -
Cost-Benefit Analysis of High-Speed Rail and Hyperloop in California
please answer the questions on the sheet. it should not take long at all. please be done by 11:30!! Transportation is a critical issue facing California. As its population expands, the State will need to develop a new form of travel to provide its residents with increased mobility and support its growing economy. Two solutions to this problem have risen to the forefront, the High-Speed Rail (underway) and the Hyperloop (compressed zero-friction form transportation). (Cite: USC Price School Hovanes Gasparian and Kelley Groves).
The Governor of California has asked you to perform a cost-benefit analysis on whether the state government should invest in a high-speed rail system or a hyperloop.
The high-speed rail will include 800 miles of track, run up to speeds of 220 mph, and have stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, the Inland Empire, Orange County, and San Diego (Catherine et al., 2011).
The Hyperloop system of travel comprises reduced-pressure, elevated tubes that propel passenger capsules at a maximum of 586 mph (Musk, 2013). Its route would mirror California’s Interstate 5 between the Northern San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles to the Hayward/Castro Valley area in San Francisco and will have the ability to travel this distance of 327 miles in approximately 35 minutes. There will be a total of 40 capsules that have the capacity to carry 28 passengers each (Musk, 2013).
Below are data tables from the USC Price Hyperloop report.

“Addressing Nursing Shortages: Ethical Considerations and Strategies for Integrating CNAs and LPNs into Healthcare Teams” “Putting Patients First: Exploring Different Approaches to Retention and Recruitment in Healthcare”
Consider the questions below. If you have personal experiences or stories related to nursing shortages, staff retention, and the inclusion of CNAs and LPNs in healthcare teams, share examples to support your perspective.a. What are the ethical considerations and implications of using CNAs and LPNs to address nursing shortages, and how do these relate to patient safety, quality of care, and the healthcare workforce?b. In this episode, what ethical principles or values are at stake for hospital administrators, the nurse educator, the nursing team, and the patients?c. Imagine you are a nurse educator or part of the hospital administration team. How would you approach the integration of CNAs and LPNs into your nursing staff to combat the nursing shortage? What ethical principles would guide your decision-making process?
Down towards one point, or maybe having dietary pastries instead of greens.0:33
We need more nursing assistance to more. That’s what we’re proposing here, LaDonna.0:41
We need the support. Dedicating a lift team is doable, but with every department short on staff, it’s going to take maneuvering.0:45
As my nurse leader, Megan has her finger on the pulse of our team’s needs, all while balancing quality of care and hospital policy.0:53
Our bonus is an option. The medical system is hundreds of thousands of nurses, short as it is.1:01
I want to keep the ones that we do have. This hospital is already operating at a deficit.1:08
You’re asking for money that we don’t have. It might be a short term solution, but at least it tells them that they’re valued.1:12
We appreciate them. One reason why I asked Terrence to join us is because he can help us with that.1:19
As a nursing educator, I think he’d have some good insight to contribute.1:26
Well, I know hiring bonus staff for extra work seems like a trend that’s happening around hospitals right now,1:30
but honestly, it’s just going to create more burnout. It’s a salve, not a fix.1:36
Tell me what you have in mind.1:41
Well, I think St Mary’s should consider facilitating a plan for certified and licensed nurses who want to up their skills.1:43
Career planning for nurses who want to move beyond bedside tuition reimbursement or loan forgiveness.1:50
Anything to support them when they’re committed to this hospital.1:56
Another possible route could be to upscale LV ends and utilize seniors to provide support.2:00
What do you think? You want us to retrain nurses to work with unqualified workers with the amount of patients we have at the moment, do we not?2:07
This is way beyond their scope.2:17
It requires a level of critical thinking they’re not trained for, and I don’t have the capacity to train them without taking away from our patients.2:18
Megan Maybe it’s not what you want to hear right now, but you asked me to weigh in on this.2:26
And so this is my suggestion. Well, find a better suggestion.2:29
Okay, let’s take a recess here and think about it.2:32
We also need to take a look at our scope of practice and find a way to manage the delegation in supervision of our LV,2:35
NS and CNAS within legal limits. I think that’s wise.2:40
Let’s regroup in five and come back and find some common ground we can all agree on.2:46
Okay. Have you been down this road before?2:52
It’s not going to work. We’d have to rip all this wiring out, try a different angle.3:00
The fix, I suggest, works. If you could make it work for you.3:05
I’ll give it a go. I’ll try to make it work for me before ruling it out.3:12
Oh. We were waiting for you to discuss seniors and aliens.3:22
Your reservations weren’t wrong. Maybe I could try. Your suggestion wasn’t wrong either.3:27
I was only looking at the use of Libyans. And CNN is one way.3:31
The way it’ll put more strain on my shoulders. And I am sorry. And I want to try to make it work before ruling it out.3:36
We just need to figure out how to implement it in a way that doesn’t place more burden on our ends.3:42
Then we approach the strategy from a patient’s first type of thinking.3:48
I like that putting our patients first means utilizing the resources we have and ones we can attain.3:52
In a way I hope can complement what our friends are capable of and taking a bit of the strain off their backs.3:59
And what are the trade offs that we’re willing to make? Should we go this route?4:05
What are the risks that we incur in this process? Our situation with nurse to patient ratio isn’t sustainable.4:09
We’ve got to at least try something.4:15
Right now, let’s look at where policies are failing the current system that we have and figure out a way that our bedside nurses can compensate.4:17
Now, there’s two ways to tackle this retention and recruitment.4:28
Megan, you’re the closest leader to them in the department.4:32
We rely on you to keep up day to day morale.4:36
The cost of labor and contracting new nurses beyond our budget is a challenge, and it would have to be approved by the CFO and it may not go anywhere.4:39
So let’s touch base in a few weeks and see where we are with retention, and then we will take a look at the recruitment if necessary.4:47
Then patients first, patients first.4:55
Okay, Terrence, if we’re going to do this, we got to do it right.5:01
Okay. Well, as the nursing educator, here’s what I can do. Hey.5:05
I’m so sorry, but we need you on the floor. It’s an emergency, and we got multiple high acuity patients and not enough hands.5:16
We’re doing our best to keep up with two patients of coded. One is died.5:22
Our LV ends have a limited scope of practice with assessment and I need help with all the things I can’t ask the aliens to do.5:27
So I’m sorry. It’s okay. You do? I can. I’ll jump in, provide support until you and the other arms can catch up to your patients.5:35
Go. And right behind you. I’m still here.5:41
Come on in. I just want you to know that all the friends are caught out.5:49
I feel for Mario. The patient that died today was his.5:55
He takes all his patients to heart. If you need me to talk to him or any of the staff, I’m happy to take any heat, if that helps.6:00
Well, thank you, Cleo. Reintroducing LV ends is helping, but I don’t know.6:08
It’s just not enough. Was it really the best solution?6:18 -
