I found examples in an acceptance speech of verbs, adjectives and nouns but unfortunatelly I created 3 subsections that are not very logical. I am looking for somebody who can split each category: nouns, verbs and adjectives into derivational, inflectional morphology and other examples.

Title: Crafting Effective Introductions for an Argumentative Essay
MAIN POST
First, complete the following reading:
The Norton Field Guide
Chapter 27 (pp. 329-332)
The Writing Center @ University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Introductions
Twenty-One Commonly Committed Fallacies Twenty-One Commonly Committed Fallacies – Alternative Formats
4 Introductions for the Argumentative Essay (SWee the graphic Attached. Remember to check your instructor’s requirements for the introduction.)
For this discussion, review the resources above, then compose two Introductions for your Researched Argumentative Essay. The introductions should demonstrate different approaches, using different words and phrasing. Only the thesis statement will remain similar. Then, in a third paragraph, share your thoughts about which introduction you are most likely to use and why.
A few reminders:
Paragraph 1 will be your first possible introduction.
Paragraph 2 will be your second possible introduction.
Paragraph 3 will be your commentary on both introductions.
Write only in 3rd person point of view (No direct address – “You would be shocked at the waste of edible foods!”).
Do not announce the topic (Example: This paper will discuss the importance of donkey farming to nomad societies in Northern Africa; In this essay, or, In this essay, I will…).
PEER REPLIES (2)
Respond to two peers’ main posts with replies of 150 -200 words each by answering each of the following questions.
What two approaches of introductions were used?
Which of the introductions is more effective? Why?
Does the introduction provide enough information about the topic and direction of the essay?
Is the position the writer is taking clear?
Is the thesis statement complete, clear, and well-composed?
What do you like most about the introduction?
Offer a suggestion to make the introduction stronger.
Be sure to take a moment to check into your own thread. Reply to your instructor and some peers who offer insights into your writing. -
The Question of Free Will: An Examination of Hard Determinism, Libertarianism, and Soft Determinism
Attend to all parts of the question and give a thorough account, explaining the respective positions. You will also want to argue for one approach over another, offering reasons that would appeal to the fair-minded or neutral reader, one interested solely in learning the truth.
Whenever Angry Alan obeyed his mother, she would reward him with his favorite candy, Snappies. Years later, the maker of Snappies discontinues the candy, citing economic concerns. Enraged, Angry Alan — now an adult — sneaks into the headquarters of the candy manufacturer one evening to start a fire in a trash bin. While he only hopes to teach the company a lesson, the fire rages out of control and burns the headquarters to a cinder.
Meanwhile, across town, Kindly Ken is kidnapped by a mad scientist who implants an electrode into Ken’s brain. The electrode causes Ken to start a fire in a nearby church. The fire rages out of control and burns the church to a cinder.
Was Angry Alan free to do otherwise? Is Alan morally responsible for the damage?
Was Kindly Ken free to do otherwise? Is Ken morally responsible for the damage?
In your own words, explain hard determinism, libertarianism, and soft determinism, and show how each approach would answer all of these questions. Be sure you explain your reasoning in each instance. Along the way, discuss the difference between incompatibilism and compatibilism. You’ll want to have listened to my online lectures and read Holbach, Kane, and Ayer.
When all is said and done, which of these three approaches offers the strongest account? Why? Discuss at length.
(Note that this question is not about aligning one approach with Alan’s case and another with Ken’s, but about determining which one of the three approaches is true.)
Good luck!
Grading Criteria for the essay are as follows:
A strong essay will lay out the respective positions in clear and detailed terms, emphasize the strengths and weaknesses of each, and offer convincing reasons to show why one approach is superior to the other. The accounts should display a ready and thorough knowledge of course material. (20-22 points).
An adequate essay will set forth the main outline of the respective positions, though some detail may be lacking and the accounts may not always be clear. The reasons given for supporting one approach over another, while relevant, may not prove compelling. (16-19 points)
An inadequate essay will confuse the positions involved or fail to articulate their key elements; the language may exhibit a poor grasp of the central points of contention. The account might well convey an insufficient understanding of course material or prove otherwise unclear, and the reasons offered in favor of one approach over another will mischaracterize essential philosophical paradigms. (15 points and below). -
“Exploring the Central Theme: An Analysis of the Chosen Source for the Final Research Essay”
ENGL 1201 – Analytical Essay Assignment (20%)
Due: June 25, before midnight
Where: D2L Dropbox
Find a source that will form the centre of your analysis in the Final Research Essay. You can
search the Library website (https://bowvalleycollege.ca/student-resources/rgo-library-learning-
commons) or Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com) for this source, and compose an
analysis of no more than TWO double-spaced pages (i.e., no more than 600 words).
This text can be non-fiction (i.e., an essay, an article, a newspaper article, an analysis) or fiction
(a short story, a novel, a comic). The source must be textual; if you want to write on a film or a
TV series, go ahead—but it will be tougher. The source you choose will also decide the main
topic your essay will treat, so think carefully. You can choose to analyse a theme we’re
discussing in class, but you cannot write about one of our assigned essays.
Your goal is to answer the question: Why this specific text? What makes it a good choice for
your research paper? Make an argument about why you chose this text, and why now.
Discuss 4 of the following in your paper:
1. Locate the central thesis, theme, or research question your source presents.
2. Paraphrase this argument and TWO pieces of evidence the author uses to support their
claims—or, in the case of fiction, two short examples from elsewhere in the narrative that
reinforce this theme as central to the text.
3. For non-fiction: Assess the strength of this evidence as it pertains to the author’s major
argument (i.e., how does this argument move from one paragraph to another? How does
the essay address different topics and themes? What appeals does it use?)
For fiction: What signals does the narrative present that suggest to you the centrality of
this theme? Find examples and argue for how or why this theme is central in the text.
4. Look up several difficult words, parse one or two sentences that do not immediately make
sense to you, or try to work through a difficult argument so that your reader can
understand it better. This analysis should be related to your identification of the central
theme or argument, and not simply added on later.
5. Locate at least two appeals and describe how they work to convince you of the writer’s
argument. Why this writer? Why this topic? How does your writer convince you of the
merits of his or her claims?
Attempt to integrate these responses into a continuous argument, rather than submitting a
series of separate answers. Choose one question whose answer will be your thesis; the rest will
serve as context or as support for this thesis. Provide a reading of the text that suggests how and
why the writer has constructed their argument in the way they have. Note some interesting
features of the text and offer your own argument about what these decisions accomplish for
your own reading experience.
**Please also submit a draft of this essay alongside your final submission. Show me
evidence that you have written and revised your paper according to the strategies we’ve
2
discussed in class. You’ll probably go over the strict word limit in your first draft. Try to be
concise, and think about how to organize these responses into paragraphs.
**Use APA style in your paper, which means a cover page, correct formatting throughout
the body of your paper, and a References page.
This assignment will assess:
• your reading comprehension;
• your ability to summarize part of a text;
• your ability to move from summary to analysis by identifying a question you have about
a text and answering it yourself;
• your understanding of how and why texts create specific effects (as per the appeals);
• your understanding of APA format and research practices. -

Love and Paralysis in James Joyce’s “Eveline” and “Araby” “The Paradox of Love in James Joyce’s ‘Araby’ and ‘Eveline’: A Comparative Analysis”
Requirements:
The paper must make use of at least three academic sources.
The length must be 2,000-2,500 words, not including the list of works cited.
The paper must conform to MLA standards.
Papers that do not fulfill these basic requirements will automatically start with a letter grade of B.
OUTLINE OF THE PAPER
INTRODUCTION
A. Introduction to James Joyce and his literary style
i. Brief biography and significance of the author
ii. Introduction to the collection Dubliners (historical and social context of the early 20th century) themes: epiphany, paralysis, and Irish society.
B. Thesis Statement
James Joyce explores the theme of love as a complex and ultimately unfulfilling force in two of his short stories, “Eveline” and “Araby”. Despite taking different paths, both stories depict love as simultaneously inspiring and paralyzing the characters, initially motivating them to pursue new and exciting goals but ultimately preventing them from achieving self-fulfillment.
Make sure to distinguish the idea from the sources. Do a brief literature review on what has been said and done on this topic and then say what you are doing differently. Do no regurgitate others ideas
“ARABY” ANALYSIS
A. Plot Summary and Setting
B. Character Analysis
i. Focus on his romantic idealization of Mangan’s sister and his infatuation with her. QUOTE: “Her name sprang to my lips at moments in strange prayers and praises which I myself did not understand.” (Narrator, describing his feelings for Mangan’s sister)”
C. Symbolism and Imagery connected to the theme of love (leading to paralysis)
i. i.e., light and darkness, the bazaar… QUOTE(s):
LIGHT vs. DARKNESS: “The light from the lamp opposite our door caught the white curve of her neck, lit up her hair that rested there and, falling, lit up the hand upon the railing.” vs. “I found myself in a big hall girdled at half its height by a gallery. Nearly all the stalls were closed, and the greater part of the hall was in darkness”
EMOTIONAL PARALYSIS: “Her name sprang to my lips at moments in strange prayers and praises which I myself did not understand. My eyes were often full of tears (I could not tell why), and at times, a flood from my heart seemed to pour itself out into my bosom.”
D. The Narrator’s journey from love to disappointment
i. QUOTE: “Gazing up into the darkness I saw myself as a creature driven and derided by vanity, and my eyes burned with anguish and anger.”
“EVELINE” ANALYSIS
A. Plot Summary and Setting
B. Character Analysis
i. Focus on her sense of duty towards her family (love for her mother and the promise she made to her to always keep the family together) versus her romantic longing for Frank her freedom.
C. Symbolism and Imagery connected to the theme of love
i. i.e., the window, the dust, Buenos Aires… QUOTE: “She sat at the window watching the evening invade the avenue. Her head was leaned against the window curtains and in her nostrils was the odour of dusty cretonne.” and “Her time was running out but she continued to sit by the window, leaning her head against the window curtain, inhaling the odour of dusty cretonne.”
D. Paralysis and Unfulfilled Longing
i. Focus on her internal struggle and inability to act on her feelings. QUOTE: “Escape! She must escape! Frank would save her. He would give her life, perhaps love, too.” “She trembled as she heard again her mother’s voice saying constantly with foolish insistence: “Derevaun Seraun! Derevaun Seraun!” (Gaelic for “The End of Pleasure is Pain”)”.
ii. Focus on her fear (?) QUOTE: “All the seas of the world tumbled about her heart. He was drawing her into them: he would drown her. She gripped with both hands at the iron railing.” (The sea is her fear of the unknown).
iii. Her ultimate paralysis. QUOTE: “She set her white face to him, passive, like a helpless animal. Her eyes gave him no sign of love or farewell or recognition”
COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
A. Common themes (mood of the story, epiphanies during conflicts, suffocating surroundings, paralysis, exoticism)
B. Different paths = similar outcomes
C. Love as a double-edged sword (inspiring vs paralyzing)
i. Araby: love inspires him to see beauty in his surroundings, it moves him to embark on a quest at the bazaar. Love also paralyzes him from his duty (to school and church) and blinds him to the harsh realities of the world (the idealized bazaar vs. the scene he is presented with).
ii. Eveline: her love for Frank (although childish. Her real love is for freedom) inspires her to contemplate a future that goes beyond the life she has with her father and fills her with hope and possibility. Her love for the family (mostly her mother) paralyzes her from escaping her abusive father, and fear of the unknown paralyzes her from escaping with Frank.
CONCLUSION
A. Restate Thesis Statement
B. Broader implication on the Theme of love and what it means for human experiences through the eyes of Joyce.
DO MORE in the conclusion. Professor’s comment: you took your reader on a journey so you should have more to say now.

“Analyzing External Factors for Successful Implementation of an Organization’s VMO, Strategy, and Goals/ Objectives: A Case Study”
Complete an analysis of the key external factors that have implications for successful implementation of your organization’s VMO, strategy and goals/objectives. You will examine your organization’s industry and the competitive conditions/positioning affecting it now or likely to do so in the future. Submit your work in your assignment folder in the form of an approximate 2,000-word double-spaced APA-formatted paper. The title page, reference list, and any appendices are not included in this suggested word count. You do not need to include an abstract.
Your paper should address these topics:
A brief explanation of the industry (or industries) in which your organization operates as well as context for your organization’ current positioning.
Analyze the current conditions in your organization’s industry and in its relevant general environment and their likely implications for successful implementation of your organization’s strategic goals and related actions. Be sure to address the PESTEL framework.
Apply Porter’s Five-Forces Model to enrich your understanding of the environment in which your organization is now or may be operating. The Five Forces model should stress that this model is used to evaluate the industry, not your selected organization’s activities. The model should be used to isolate the dominant force(s) in the industry faced by all competitors and that produce the greatest threat to your organization’s profits and/or strategy. You should discuss how your firm can provide a defense against this threat or threats.
Describe your organization’s strategic group and construct a map to show its relative market position. Add in a discussion of your rationale for the grouping.
Summarize the threats and opportunities facing your organization gleaned from your analysis. (SWOT analysis) Submit the SWOT format in Table form and add in some narrative to discuss the threats and opportunities in more detail. Explain in your discussion (not in the table) why you selected them and how they relate to the VMO and organization’s strategy.
Evaluate the extent to which your organization’s current strategy appears a good match for the competitive conditions it confronts or any gaps that must be addressed.
Add in a strong conclusion that ensures the reader leaves your paper with a clear recap of your key points.
IMPORTANT: Do not just use someone else’s SWOT, Five Forces, or other analysis. We want you to think for yourself. Critically analyze your firm and write about your original conclusions. Again, imagine you have been asked by the organization’s CEO or top leader to offer an assessment of the organization and how well it is positioned (or not) to deliver on the VMO and strategy in the external environment. This is a critical element, stand back and offer thoughtful criticism and recommendations.
