Using
the Data_Interview Transcription attachment, develop five different interview
transcriptions with the following instructions 140/150 words per question.
Overview
The purpose of this study is to provide
recommendations for solving the problem of low parental involvement in the
British School of Dhahran, International Schools Group. The problem is that 65%
of the parents of students at the British School of Dhahran International
School groups failed to meet the required parental involvement standards (ISG,
2023). This chapter presents the Interview Procedures, Survey Procedures, and
Questionnaire Procedures.
Interview Procedures
The first data collection method is
semi-structured interviews. The interviews will be conducted
in-depth to provide valuable insights about the research problem and some of
the reasons why it exists. This
thoughtful arrangement guarantees a systematic and thorough inquiry that aligns
with the research goals and purposes.
Data Collection and Analysis
The five parents from various grade
levels will be the participants to which their children are attending BSD. One parent with a child from grade 6 to 10 will be used
for the interview process. The
rationale behind the fundamental methodology of semi-structured interviews is
to attain a balance between structure and flexibility. This strategy aims to
preserve the degree of system required for insightful analysis while capturing
the depth of participant insights (Silinskas & Kikas 2019). The interviews will mostly be conducted
through face-to-face interactions, with the provision of phone or online
interviews as choices to meet the preferences and availability of the
participants. Face-to-face interviews are commonly favored due to their
propensity to foster enhanced levels of open and comprehensive communication,
enabling more effective monitoring of non-verbal signs. Nevertheless, in situations where
geographical or scheduling limitations hinder the feasibility of conducting
face-to-face interviews, alternative methods such as phone or videoconferencing interviews will be employed to guarantee the inclusion of all
significant viewpoints. The ability to conduct interviews in various modes is
essential for optimizing participant inclusion and facilitating comprehensive
data collecting. Following the completion of the interviews, the data will be
systematically analyzed using thematic analysis.
This method involves transcribing the interviews, carefully
reading the transcripts to identify patterns, and coding the data to categorize
these patterns into themes. Thematic analysis is chosen for its effectiveness
in organizing and interpreting rich, detailed qualitative data, making it
possible to draw meaningful conclusions about the factors influencing parental
involvement. The analysis will focus on identifying common themes across
different interviews and unique insights provided by individual participants to
develop a nuanced understanding of the problem and inform the development of
targeted recommendations. This approach supports building rapport and promoting
candid conversation, both essential for exploring the intricacies of parental
engagement (Huguley et al., 2019).
Using this strategy, researchers can be confident that their information is
useful and accurate, laying a firm groundwork for their conclusions and suggestions.

Title: Exploring the Power of Fanvids in the One Direction Fandom
For this week, watch at least five fanvids or AMVs (Anime Music Videos) related to the fandom I chose, which is the One Direction (directioners) fandom. These videos should be at least a minute long and should combine clips from the media you are studying with popular music.
Here is a list of some different types of vids:
Character vids: Focus on a single character, often offer an interpretation of a character’s psychology, motivations, and/or character development.
Shipping vids: Focus on a specific ship, often making an argument for and offering evidence of sexual and/or romantic subtext between characters.
Slash vids: Like slash fic, slash vids focus on m/m ships.
AU vids (Ficvids): Use footage of characters and actors to create alternative narratives that either diverge from canon or transport characters into a different genre or setting.
Cross-over vids: Bring together characters from different media properties.
Charles Vane/Lizzie Bennet || Waiting Game (Black Sails/Pride and Prejudice)
Recruiter vids: Made for members outside of the fandom or sub-fandom, these vids are attempt to “recruit” people to watch a show or ship certain characters.
Write a blog post analyzing the fanvids that you watched this week. Here are some questions to get you started (you do not have to answer all or any of them). What is the purpose of this vid? What songs are paired with clips from the source text? What are the connections between them? What story does the combination of song and images construct? How do different songs shape interpretations of characters and relationships? How do fans build arguments through vids? What pleasure do fans experience looking at them? What about them generates that pleasure?
Be sure to include at least 2 of the articles I attached below. -
“Managing Chronic Conditions: Treatment Plans for Sara, Monty, Beatrice, and Daute”
1. Sara is a 45-year-old female presenting for her annual exam. Her blood pressure today is 160/90 HR 84 RR 16. Her height is 64 inches and her weight is 195. Her last visit to the clinic 3 months ago shows a BP of 156/92. She is currently taking ibuprofen 600 mg tid for back pain. She has no known allergies. What is the goal for her blood pressure? What medication would you prescribe to treat her blood pressure? What education would you prescribe? 2.Monty is a 52-year-old male following up on his labs that were drawn last week. He smokes 1 pack per day. He is currently on Lisinopril 20 mg po daily. He is allergic to penicillin. Fasting lipid profile shows total cholesterol 266, LDL cholesterol 180, HDL cholesterol 40, and Triglycerides 185. What treatment plan would you implement for Monty’s lipid profile? What is the goal Total Cholesterol (TC), HDL-C, and LDL-C level for Monty? How would you monitor the effectiveness of your treatment plan? How many risk factors for coronary artery disease does this patient have? Identify them specifically. 3.Beatrice is a 17-year-old female diagnosed with mild persistent asthma since age 7. During her visit today, she reports having to use her albuterol MDI 3 to 4 days per week over the past 2 months. Over the past week she has been using albuterol at least once per day. She reports being awakened by a cough three nights during the last month. She is becoming more short of breath with exercise. She also has a fluticasone MDI, which she uses “most days of the week.” Her current medications include: Flovent HFA 44 mcg, two puffs BID, Proventil HFA two puffs Q 4–6 H PRN shortness of breath, Yaz one PO daily, Propranolol 80 mg PO BID. Title: Concept Map for M.S.’s Complete Physical Examination and Osteoporosis Screening Priority Concept: Osteoporosis Screening and Prevention Summary of Pathophysiology: Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by decreased bone density and
Create a concept map using information from this case study:
M.S., a 72-year-old white woman, comes to your clinic for a complete
physical examination. She has not been to a provider for 11 years
because “I don’t like doctors.” Her only complaint today is “pain in my
upper back.”
She describes the pain as sharp and knifelike. The pain began
approximately three weeks ago when she was getting out of bed in the
morning and hasn’t changed. M.S. rates her pain as 6 on a 0- to 10-point
pain scale and says the pain decreases to 3 or 4 after taking “a couple
of ibuprofen.” She denies recent falls or trauma.
M.S. admits she needs to quit smoking and start exercising but
states, “I don’t have the energy to exercise, and besides, I’ve always
been thin.” She has smoked one to two packs of cigarettes per day since
she was 17 years old. Her last blood work was 11 years ago, and she
can’t remember the results. She went through menopause at the age of 47
and has never taken hormone replacement therapy. The physical exam was
unremarkable other than moderate tenderness to deep palpation over the
spinous process at T7. No masses or tenderness to the tissue surrounded
the tender spot. No visible masses, skin changes, or erythema were
noted. Her neurologic exam is intact, and no muscle wasting is noted.
M.S. has never had an osteoporosis screening. She confides that her
mother and grandmother were diagnosed with osteoporosis when they were
in their early 50s.
Include answers to the following questions in your concept map:
What is the priority concept of this scenario?
Write a summary of the pathophysiology if appropriate.
What assessment findings led you to identify this priority problem? Are there other concerns based on your assessment of M.S.?
What is your priority problem?
Based on your knowledge of the nursing process so far, what goals would you recommend in the plan of care for M.S?
What interventions will help M.S. meet these goals?
How would you evaluate your plan of care to determine the next steps?
Remember: This is your first attempt at creating a
concept map using all phases of the nursing process. Focus on choices
based on evidence and being able to support your decisions. -

Understanding Ourselves: Exploring the Biological, Learning, Cognitive, and Sociocultural Perspectives
If at all possible would need 6/16/24 11:55pm central time
Before addressing the Written Response Questions:
In Chapter 1, you will find the descriptors of the biological, learning, cognitive, or sociocultural perspectives in the first chapter. Psychological scientists often approach questions differently, depending on whether they take a biological, learning (behavioral), cognitive, or sociocultural perspective. Consider how these influences interact to make us who we are. Take, for example, questions surrounding what type of student you are.
Written Response Questions:
2. Explain whether you someone who is mostly confident in your abilities or often has to overcome self-doubt. I understand you may be confident in certain areas while having self-doubt in others, but if you had to pick one, which would be – confident or self-doubt? Explain your thinking behind that and mention a couple of examples you are willing to share to support this.
3. Answer one of these questions and then consider where this personal tendency of yours comes from:
Do you like speaking up in class or prefer remaining quiet? Do you enjoy or worry about the pressure of taking tests? Do you prefer traditional face to face classes or online classes?
After you chose and answered one of those questions, explain your thoughts and feelings when you go against your conform zone. For example, if you prefer to remain quiet in class, explain your thoughts and feelings when you are put in a position to speak up.
4. Do you think the explanation for what type of student you are is best provided by a biological, learning (behavioral), cognitive, or sociocultural perspective? In your own words (no copy/pasting), describe the perspective you chose. Then explain what made you chose that perspective as the best explanation of you as a student.
5. Given what you have written about for items #2 to 4, what would be a good goal for you? Then explain what makes this a good goal. How would you know when you met that goal?
Your analysis needs to be saved and submitted as Microsoft Word (.docx) or a Wordpad Rich Text Format (.rtf) document. To summarize:
Your paper must be typed, double-spaced, and written in Times New Roman 12 pt. font.
Your paper should have 1-inch margins all around.
Paragraph indents should be no more than 1/2 inch.
If you use a header, use only one line.
Your paper should have a properly formatted cover page.
Your paper must be longer than one page in length in content (1 1/2 to 2 is typically good!). Name, date, title, work cited are additional and do not count as content. Also, do not number it, make bullet points, or rewrite the questions.
Your paper should be mostly your own words. If you are using someone else’s words, then you need to use quotes, give credit, and connect it to your message. If you paraphrase someone else’s words, then you need to give credit and connect it to your message. For this paper to be scored, no more than TWO (2) sentences can belong to someone’s published work (quoted or paraphrased).
Be sure to properly CITE ALL SOURCES USED at the end of your paper on its own Reference page. -
“Improving Company Efficiency: A Proposal for Implementing a Time-Tracking System” Slide 1: Title Slide – Title: Improving Company Efficiency: A Proposal for Implementing a Time-Tracking System – Presenter: [Your Name]
the first slide should be a Title Slide (where you introduce yourself and your project);
next will be the Agenda Slide where you give a brief overview of the points to be covered in the presentation (you can use the Table of Contents to help you with that slide);
the third slide should cover the main issue/s with the Current Situation; next will be the Objectives slide;
review the Deliverables for the next slide;
then briefly cover the Costs/ROI;
wind up your report with a Summary (which you can create by looking over your Executive Summary);
after the conclusion of your report, include a Reference slide that will show any researched references you used in the report. Your total presentation time should be between 7 and 10 minutes long. Imagine that you have been asked to present the basic information of your report in front of the decision makers of the company. Directly address them when you introduce yourself and the topic of the presentation. You will turn in that presentation with the audio recording of your presentation along with the slides you create. -
Title: Data Collection Procedures for Evaluating the For Kids Program
Task 3 is a description of your data collection procedures, starting with your evaluation questions and describing the sources and measures you will use the answer them.
Respond to the following prompts as you write your paper:
Remind us of the participants that are included in your study, as well as the program’s goals.
State your evaluation questions and discuss what you are evaluating, quantitative and qualitative separately.
Discuss your data collection methods i.e., sources and measures. Again quantitative and qualitative separately. Thoroughly explain these methods as related to quantitative and qualitative data collection.
For your qualitative evaluation question, provide sample protocol (3-5 question) you would ask on a written survey or in an interview.
Discuss how your quantitative and qualitative data will support each other.
