What do you think are the most important factors in successful role transition from RN to APRN? What do you think can benefit the transition? What can act as a barrier?
Discussion Forum Grading and Guidelines To earn full credit, you must:
Post your initial response, answering all discussion questions/prompts in full. Initial post should not exceed 500 words.
Post at least one thoughtful reply to a peer in your group. Replies must be reflective in nature (not simply stating “I agree/disagree…”). Ensure that your initial post and peer reply is based on what you are learning in the readings and through scholarly research. When appropriate, draw on any any professional experience(s) you may have.
Ensure all posts use proper grammar and spelling. Discussion forum posts will be graded for thorough reflection of the topic at hand and whether the content answers the questions expertly with elaboration and explanation. It will also be evaluated for style, tone and structure. Thus, if there are spelling and grammatical errors, it deflects from the reading and points will be taken off. “Navigating Digital Identity: Strategies for Individuals and Organizations in the Modern Age”
Instructions
You are working for a local department store in the Operations Department. You notice that their business practices and use of technology are not up to date. One day while working, you are having a discussion about technology and identity formation with your supervisor. Your supervisor continues to explain that individuals and organizations have digital identities that are formed and impacted through various methods. Your supervisor continues, saying, “They can develop or change through social media, positive or negative press, word of mouth, and so on.”
You begin to understand that the digital footprint of a business or organization can greatly impact their success or failure due to many factors, including the rapid dissemination of information that can occur digitally.
Your supervisor, through the course of the discussion, acknowledges that you are very fluent in the area of digital identity and asks you to conduct research and create a visual presentation explaining how digital identity is formed for both individuals and organizations. Your supervisor says, “This visual presentation will be presented to not only me, but company stakeholders and your coworkers in order to help them understand how identity is formed, and how to best maximize digital identity to contribute to the overall success of our store.”
Your supervisor continues, saying, “From this presentation, decision makers will be able to work on identity management and can then implement digital strategies in order to maintain or improve the store’s identity. In the end, this is intended to help increase exposure to the store, enhance the customer base, and the overall success of the store. The visual representation should be interactive and informative and can be presented in any visual format that you choose.”
For this research and presentation, you are to reflect upon and address the following topics:
• What are the key methods of identity development? Consider available technology, socioeconomic status, generational issues, access to technological resources, etc.
• Explain how technology and digital forums can aid in identity formation.
• Consider available technology, socioeconomic status, generational issues, access to technological resources, etc.
• Are there differences between identity development in the digital world and in the physical world?
• As technology improves and changes, what are some things that individuals and organizations do to impact change and development in the digital age?
• How can individuals change the course of action for organizations and their digital footprint?
• How is the digital identity of your store in the above scenario formulated, and what impact might that identity have on the overall success of the store? -

Title: Analyzing Primary Sources in U.S. History
A. Directions
Step 1: Choose Two Primary Sources
Review the U.S. History I Touchstone Primary Sources List and select two primary sources from the list for your assignment. The primary sources you choose should come from different time periods. Submissions that analyze primary sources that are not on the provided list will be returned ungraded.
Step 2: Read and Analyze Each Source
Read and analyze each source by following the instructions outlined below. Record your responses in the Touchstone 4: Analyzing Primary Sources Template.
Part 1: Meet the Primary Source
What type of primary source is this?
Types could include a letter, speech, court transcript, legislation, diary entry, photograph, artifact, map, broadside, circular, political cartoon, artwork, etc.
Provide a brief description of something you notice about the source, as if you were explaining to someone who can’t see it.
For example, you might describe its physical appearance, its formal title (if it has one), its type of language, its size or length, or anything else in particular that stands out to you.
Part 2: Observe its Parts
Who wrote it or created it? Was it one person, or was it a group, like an organization?
When was it written or otherwise created?
What are two things you know about the personal background or beliefs of the person or group who created it?
Was the source meant to be public or private? If public, who do you think was the intended audience?
HINT
You may need to use the internet to help you research these questions.
Part 3: Interpret its Meaning: Historical Context
Describe two other things that were happening at the time the source was created.
Careful! In some cases, this could be different from the time the source describes or portrays.
How does that context (or background information) help you understand why it was created?
HINT
If needed, revisit the U.S. History I tutorials. The four time periods in the Primary Source List correspond to the four Units of the course. Navigate to the most relevant course unit and explore tutorials. Then find information to relate each primary source to its specific historical context.
Part 4: Interpret its Meaning: Main Point and Purpose
What is the main idea or point of the source? Use specific evidence from the source itself to support your answer.
Why do you think this primary source was made? Provide evidence from your prior responses to support your answer.
For example, was its purpose simply to inform? To persuade? To sensationalize? Or something else?
Part 5: Use it as Historical Evidence
What are two historical questions this source could help you to answer?
What are two pieces of information the source presents that you should “fact check” (verify as true) by checking other primary or secondary sources?
This primary source shows one perspective on this event or topic. What are two other perspectives you should get to better understand this event or topic, and why?
Refer to the checklist below throughout the writing process. Do not submit your Touchstone until it meets these guidelines.
❒ Did you select two primary sources from the Touchstone 4: Primary Source List?
❒ Did you select sources from different time periods?
❒ Did you complete all sections of the template for both sources?
❒ Did you review the grading rubric and compare it to your responses?
❒ Did you review the sample to see an example of a completed assignment?
❒ Did you proofread your work for proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization?
C. Requirements
The following requirements must be met for your submission to be graded:
Choose primary sources only from the provided list.
Use a readable 11- or 12-point font.
Composition must be original and written for this assignment and all writing must be appropriate for an academic context.
Plagiarism of any kind is strictly prohibited. -

“Financing a Major Business Expansion: Comparing the Advantages of Issuing Bonds and Selling Stocks for The XYZ Inc.”
Although stocks and bonds may both be viewed as investment opportunities, there are major differences between the two. Stock represents capital, the financial investment or equity, in a corporation. In a publicly-traded corporation, individuals and groups buy and own shares of stock in the company. Shares of stock are traded (bought and sold) on one of the stock exchanges. For example, you might buy shares of stock in Coca-Cola, a publicly-traded company. Publicly traded companies are very different from privately-owned companies. Private corporations do not sell stock on a public exchange. For example, ECPI is a privately-owned company. Its stock is not available to outside investors, nor is it traded on an exchange.
Bonds are debt issued by a government or corporation. Individuals and groups buy and hold these bonds as an investment. The government or corporation that issues these bonds guarantees payment of the original investment plus interest earned at a specific future date. For example, if New York City wants to build a new tunnel and bridge, the city might issue a bond to finance this project.
Both stocks and bonds are used to raise money. Issuing bonds allows the corporation to maintain control since ownership is not changed. Issuing stock gives up control to the stockholders (Wild, Shaw, & Chiappetta, 2014).
Before you begin, please complete your reading assignment and view the presentations for the week.

Cultural Background Paper: Exploring the Impact of Family Culture on Personal and Professional Identity Exploring My Family’s Cultural Background: Influences on Identity Development and Social Justice Advocacy
Overview
In the Cultural Background Paper, you will describe the background of your parents or primary caregivers regarding family culture and how this background impacts you both personally and professionally as a counselor. If you have a multi-racial background, pick the 2 most predominant cultures represented from your family background. You will consider how your cultural background influenced the family system patterns found in your family of origin, your identity development, and the role of culture and social justice in your counseling theoretical perspective. Specifically, you will look at some of the research describing people from your background, explore internet resources related to your culture, and interview your parents/significant care givers or other significant family members to get information. Below you will find further information.
Instructions
Please utilize the guidelines noted below in completing this assignment:
· This paper should be around 2000 words. Please note that the quality of your answer is important, and use the approximate words count noted in each section (#1 – #4) as you craft your responses for each section.
· Please use the current APA style which is the 7th edition of the APA publication manual that includes information on appropriate formatting for section headings, levels of section headings, in-text citations (narrative and parenthetical), and references. In addition, review the sample professional paper for further specifics on APA formatting. For more information on APA formatting and sample papers, please see the APA Format Quick Guide link listed under the Resources header on the assignment page.
· Scholarly (peer-reviewed) sources are required and must be published within the last 5 years. A minimum of five scholarly (5) sources are required for this assignment, and you are welcome to use more as needed in your research.
· Acceptable scholarly sources include journal articles, scholarly websites, relevant chapters from the McGoldrick et al. supplemental e-book. (E-book link for McGoldrick et al. located in syllabus.) NOTE: The Hays and Erford can be used as one of required sources.
· In addition to the five (5) scholarly (peer-reviewed) sources, a minimum of two (2) Internet/media sources related to your culture should be utilized. These can include (but not limited to) periodical websites (newspapers, magazine) and organizational websites. (Online journal databases would be scholarly sources and not internet/media sources.)
· First person may be used in this paper.
· For clarification, the Cultural Background Paper is not a focus on your family history, family genealogy, or family biography, but rather a focus on your cultural identity as it relates to the questions you will address in the assignment.
For the two parts of this assignment, address the following prompts, and organize the paper based on the prompts using appropriate section heading and subsection heading format:
Cultural Background Paper
1. Identify 1 or 2 predominant cultures represented from your family background. You may describe your culture(s) by discussing the following (approximately 750 words):
· Personal background and identity (your background may include a single heritage or multiple heritages (e.g., multiracial, multiethnic); you may choose to include information about one or all; include the ones that have had the most influence if not all).
· When and how did you first become aware of your cultural background, and how did you respond to this (e.g., your specific group(s) and its impact on you of this awareness of being part of a specific or multiple groups).
· Prominent customs, practices, values, and behaviors to your family’s background (communication patterns, gender roles, marital roles, educational and vocational pursuits). The McGoldrick et al. (2005) textbook is a strongly recommended source.
· Influence of cultural background on spirituality and/or religion as appropriate
· Information about your family’s cultural background not previously known (new information).
2. Describe similarities and differences between your family of origin and other cultures whom you have encountered in the country/region where you grew up. Include a discussion of the positive AND negative experiences between you and the other cultures (approximately 250 words).
3. Provide a clear and in-depth exploration of how your research and knowledge gained about your family’s cultural background influences your perspective on the importance racial/cultural identity development for other individuals. As part of your narrative, integrate information from at least one model from the chapter titled “Cultural Identity Development” (chapter 2) of Hays/Erford into your response (approximately 500 words).
4. Provide a clear and in-depth exploration of how your research and knowledge gained about your family’s cultural background shapes your view of conducting social justice and client advocacy for others (approximately 500 words).
Helpful Hints
· The recommended McGoldrick text may have a specific chapter on your group(s) that would be helpful. Here are some examples: Students with a White background often are initially stumped with this assignment because they haven’t considered their cultural background before. If you are White and have a Scots Irish background, there’s a specific McGoldrick chapter on that group. White and Colonial English? There’s one on that, too. German? The same. The key is for you to discover more specifically the culture(s) of your original White roots. If you have a Latino background from Cuba, there’s a specific chapter on that. Puerto Rico? The same. If you have an Asian background from Korea, there’s a specific chapter on that. Japan? The same. You get the idea. The McGoldrick text has chapters on specific subcultures rather than just the generic White, Asian, and Latino categories. Be as specific as possible in your cultural sources. If you have a U.S. Black background, it is acceptable to use general chapters on this group. Also, consider regional areas within the United States as a possible influence towards your cultural identity. For example, an individual born and raised in the Southwestern portion of the U.S. will have a different experience than one raised in the Northeast/New England area of the U.S.
· In addition to looking at relevant research to obtain information on your cultural background, interview available family members as they may provide useful information as you develop this paper.
· If you are from an adopted family background, focus on the cultural background of your adoptive parents. You might be surprised at how their cultural background influenced family system patterns in the home. If you are from a foster care background, this project may be painful for you. It can also be very healing and informative. Feel free to write about the Foster Care Culture and its impact on you if it fits with your background. You can share as much or as little as you want to share in your Cultural Background Paper. Take care of yourself in the paper-writing process and keep your instructor informed about your experience.
· Do not start this paper the week it is due. Start early. You’ll find it helpful to let your instructor know of any problems you’re experiencing so that brainstorming and problem-solving can take place. Your instructor will be limited in how they can help you in a meaningful manner if you only recognize you have a problem in the week the paper is due.
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.
