  • Title: Managing Change in the Wake of Brexit: A Critical Analysis Using the Intervention Strategy Model Introduction Brexit, the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU), has been a highly debated and controversial change event

Choose a change event and describe how the Intervention Strategy Model
    might be applied.
The Intervention Strategy Model (ISM) was introduced in Week 5 and is described fully in the course textbook.
    (McCalman and Paton, 2016)
    1. Now walk through the event using ISM as a guide, following each step of the intervention, as appropriate, analysing how the change was managed.
You may also use other models and tools introduced in the course. Critically reflect on both the approach and outcome.
    2. Having framed a critique around ISM now suggest how you would have approached the event with the benefit of hindsight. Assess the performance
of the change management, recommending alternative courses of action and/or highlighting best practice.
You should adopt a report style: set the scene, detail the history, examine and critique the outcomes, detail the lessons learnt, and suggest a way forward.
It is your thoughts, reasoning, and recommendations that will count. Identify an element of your analysis that you consider key, then go deeper into this
    element – depth not breadth.
Support your arguments with articles from the course and associated readings, feel free to go beyond the course materials and conduct further research.
The word count is 2,500 +/- !0%, not including references, tables, diagrams, pictorial representations, appendices et al.
    Change Event Definition
The change event that you choose is up to you. It might be a topical change event of interest to you or connected with your work. The trigger could be Zero
Emissions , Covid, or BREXIT. Analyse how you, an organisation, or an industry, is tackling the change. Identify and evaluate the rationale, objectives,
    planning activities, and implementation strategies.
Remember: It is important to make reference to the application of the principles of the Intervention Strategy Model.

  • Comparing Groups: Evaluating Variables and Conducting T-tests in Quantitative Analysis

    7 Introduction
    Overview
You will explore methods for evaluating the difference between variables. Comparing two groups of data using a range of t-tests will also be explored. Integration of Faith and Learning will be presented in a way that examines quantitative analysis in light of God’s plan for how you should handle challenging work.
    Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
Analyze the appropriate inferential statistic to compare groups.
Evaluate and interpret a one-sample t-test to compare one group or sample to a hypothesized population mean.
Understand the assumptions and conditions for use of the independent samples t test.
Analyze and interpret a paired samples t test to check the reliability of a repeated measure.
Understand your view of God’s perspective on the work involved in conducting meaningful and accurate quantitative analysis.
Read: Morgan, Leech, Gloeckner, & Barrett: Chapter 9
    Watch: Student’s t-Test

    Discussion Thread: Comparing Groups

Respond to the following short answer questions from Chapter 9 of the Morgan, Leech, Gloeckner, & Barrett textbook:
D7.9.1 (a) Under what conditions would you use a one-sample t test? (b) Provide another possible example of its use from the HSB data.
D7.9.2 In Output 9.2: (a) Are the variances equal or significantly different for the three dependent variables? (b) List the appropriate t, df, and p (significance level) for each t test as you would in an article. (c) Which t tests are statistically significant? (d) Write sentences interpreting the academic track difference between the means of grades in high school and also visualization. (e) Interpret the 95% confidence interval for these two variables. (f) Comment on the effect sizes.
D7.9.3 (a) Compare the results of Outputs 9.2 and 9.3. (b) When would you use the Mann–Whitney U test?
D7.9.4 In Output 9.4: (a) What does the paired samples correlation for mother’s and father’s education mean? (b) Interpret/explain the results for the t test. (c) Explain how the correlation and the t test differ in what information they provide. (d) Describe the results if the r was .90 and the t was zero. (e) What if r was zero and t was 5.0?
D7.9.5 (a) Compare the results of Output 9.4 with Output 9.5. (b) When would you use the Wilcoxon test?
     DISCUSSION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
The student will complete 8 short-answer discussions in this course and 1 long-answer
Integrating Faith and Learning discussion. In the thread for each short-answer discussion the
student will post short answers to the prompted questions. The answers must demonstrate
course-related knowledge and support their assertions with scholarly citations in the latest APA

    D1.1 & D1.1.a, D1.1.b, etc.), and include a reference section.
The student must then post 1 reply to another student’s post. The reply must summarize the

  • Title: The Process of Canonization and Evolution of Religious Traditions

Instructions: Choose two of the following prompts and write an essay on each of them.
Each essay should be a minimum of 750 words and a maximum of 1000 words. For all
questions, be sure to use specific examples from the textbook and course notes
NOTE: You may not focus on the same religious tradition in both questions. In other words,
if you choose to compare Christianity and Islam in question 1, then you should not write
about either Christianity or Islam in your second response.
    Questions
    1. Many religions have sacred texts that eventually get organized into a canon. Why is the
process of canonization so important to understand? Choose any two of the religious
traditions that we looked at in the course and compare and contrast their canonization
    processes.
    2. Many New Religious Movements are derived from existing traditions. What themes
unite the new religious movements rooted in Eastern traditions? How do these
concerns compare with the central themes expressed in the new religious movements
    based in the Abrahamic tradition?
    3. Throughout the course, we’ve talked about the difficulties in establishing definitions
    and categories. Explain some of these challenges when talking about “religion” broadly;
why is there no universally agreed-upon definition for religion and how can this be
mitigated? Then, think the terms “new religion,” “sect,” and “cult.” Why is it sometimes
difficult to distinguish between these three terms? Provide one example of each and
explain why you’ve classified it that way.
    4. The different understandings of a possible life after death reflect the cultural values and
historical circumstances out of which they arose. Compare and contrast different
understandings of the afterlife in any two of religious traditions that we examined in
the course in the light of their respective cultural and historical circumstances.
    5. Choose either Judaism, Christianity, Islam, or Indigenous Traditions and discuss the role
of women in this tradition. How has the role and place of women in your chosen
tradition/culture changed over time? What issues regarding gender and sexuality are
currently being considered within the community? Be sure to consider how gender
appears in the sacred texts/stories and whether/how women appear in leadership
    roles.
    6. All religious traditions change over time. Choose either Judaism, Christianity, Islam, or
Indigenous Traditions and compare the ancient practices to modern ones. How are the
ancient and modern practices related? What historical developments are important for
analyzing the transition between the ancient and modern periods in your chosen
    tradition?
