Project One: Financial Analyst Job Aid Guidelines and Rubric
    Competency
In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competency:
Describe the purpose and function of financial management in an organization
    Scenario
You’ve been an entry-level financial analyst for six months. Your supervisor plans to fill another entry-level financial analyst position on your team. Your supervisor has asked you to create a job aid for the financial analyst role. The purpose of the job aid is to help the new hire move smoothly into the role. The job aid must describe the responsibilities of a financial analyst. It must also describe the impact the role has on a business.
    Directions
Using the Financial Analyst Job Aid (linked in the What to Submit section), create a job aid for a new hire to an entry-level financial analyst position. Your job aid should be thorough, but it should also be easy to understand for someone new to the field of finance.
In your job aid, you’ll give a general overview of financial management and its importance to a business. Specifically, you must address the following:
Financial Responsibilities: Describe the responsibilities of a financial analyst.
Write five to seven bullet points outlining the responsibilities of a financial analyst. Write in complete sentences.
Financial Management Decisions: Use an example to discuss the importance of analyzing and managing finances to help make business decisions.
Consider the bullet points you outlined in the previous section. Then write a brief paragraph that answers the following questions. Use examples to support your claims.
How do these responsibilities help inform management decisions?
What would happen if management didn’t have this information?
Accounting Principles: Explain how to use accounting principles to analyze a business’s financial health. Give examples to support your claims.
Write a brief paragraph that explains how financial analysts use accounting principles to analyze a business’s financial health. In your paragraph, also answer the following questions:
What accounting information do financial analysts use?
What would happen if that information was not available or was not accurate?
Financial Statements: Describe how to use financial statements to help businesses make finance-related decisions. Give examples to support your claims.
Think about how financial analysts identify the information contained in financial statements. Then write a brief paragraph that answers the following questions. Use examples to support your claims.
What does a financial analyst need to do their job?
What types of finance-related business decisions would this information help businesses to make?
Financial Terminology: Explain how a financial analyst uses key financial terms every day. Ensure your response is clear and easy to understand.
Define each term listed below. Then, for each term, write one or two sentences showing how a financial analyst might use the term and how the concept is used to make important financial decisions.

Holistic Rubric Based on Bloom’s Framework
The rubric below will be used for the final essay. It has informed the specific rubric for this assignment. In this assignment, flow is not being graded since it is meant to be in point-form. Points listed must still logically be part of the section they are under.
    Exemplary: 80 to 100%
    Good: 70 to 79%
    Acceptable: 60 to 69%
    Unacceptable:
    0 to 59%
Synthesis: Multiple scholarly sources are synthesized in the discussion. The writing is clear, concise, logical, and captures the reader’s attention. The work would be publishable. The assignment contains all of the required components.
Analysis: The discussion is logical (flows). Ideas from multiple scholarly sources have been interpreted (used in new ways that are not explicit in scholarly resources) and integrated into the discussion. An ability to write in a scholarly way is evident. The assignment contains all of the required components.
Understanding and Application: Scholarly literature has been appropriately paraphrased to support the importance of the discussion. An attempt to apply literature is evident. Ideas are identified, but further work is needed to explain them in a way that moves beyond regurgitation of information from scholarly resources. There are no quotations. The assignment contains all of the required components.
Recall: The discussion appears superficial to the reader. Components may be missing, difficult for the reader to understand, or quotations are used, which leads the reader to question if scholarly articles were understood.

Blogging as a Constructivist Approach to Inquiry
    Introduction
Hook: (number of nursing blogs? Blogs used in research? Impact of blogging?)
Nurses use blogs to …  impact
Thesis: Academia must value blogs for scholarship and inquiry.
    Literature Review
When used in university education, researchers have found that blogging improves critical thinking, literacy, and performance (Novakovich, 2016).
Transition to professional practice for nursing students (Reed & Edmunds, 2015) and  occupational therapists (Carra, Fortune, Ennals, D’Cruz, & Kohn, 2017).
    Lack of peer-review … workload
Citations in blogs posts have been connected to increased dissemination of research findings (Shema, Bar-Ilan, & Thelwall, 2014).
Scholarly communication of research has evolved to involve social media (Gu & Widén-Wulff, 2011)
Facilitates peer support and learning (Wiid, Mccormack, Warren, Buckley, & Cahill, 2013).
    Philosophy
Constructivism: Qualitative inquiry is underpinned by a constructivist paradigm, which identifies that reality is deeply situated in contexts and meaning (Killam, 2013). Someone’s blog represents that person’s point of view. Reflection should be recognised as a valid method of inquiry, like in autoethnography (Ellis, Adams, & Bochner, 2011).
The Value of Reflection (Strongest Argument)
Promotes critical thinking through peer-feedback (Novakovich, 2016; Wetmore, Boyd, Bowen, & Pattillo, 2010).
    Improves literacy (Novakovich, 2016).
Aids in forming professional identities (Carra, Fortune, Ennals, D’Cruz, & Kohn, 2017).
    Open to critique
Peer review a used criteria to differentiate scholarship (Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, 2013) that blogging arguably does not meet
Promotes collaborative learning (Jones, Garrity, VanderZwan, Epstein, & de la Rocha, 2016)
Is open to peer-critique (Jackson, Waine, & Hutchinson, 2015; Jones et al., 2016)
Can engage new audiences (Jackson et al., 2015)
Immediate Access to Knowledge (Second Strongest Argument)
Rapid uptake of knowledge (Jackson et al., 2015).

    Nursing Implications

    Conclusion

***** Below are the instructions for the FINAL paper, incase there are any aspects that are required in the outline*****
    Assignment 2: Final paper
    · The final polished paper is to be 7-8 pages excluding the title page and references and figures (figures are optional) on a topic/issue/construct related to informatics/eHealth and nursing.
    · In your paper, be sure to develop a position or argument (indicated in your thesis statement) and analyze a topic/issue/construct so that the reader develops a balanced understanding of it.
Your final paper should contain the following:
    1. Title page.
    2. Headings for each section in the rubric (note hat the introduction should not have a heading as per APA).
    3. Introduction including a concise and compelling statement of the significance and relevance of the issue. The significance and relevance statements are supported by three scholarly sources. The introduction concludes with a thesis statement and statement of the significance of the topic.
    · The thesis: The thesis demonstrates an assertive stance on a relevant issue that is highly debatable. It is clearly worded, concise and controversy is significant.
    · Significance of the topic is clearly stated.
    4. Literature review demonstrating that the issue is current and debatable through an analysis of the historical context of that issue. The scope and nature of the issue is synthesized in a clear and concise way. Synthesis means that citations with common key points are grouped. Paragraphs draw upon multiple sources to illustrate key points. The discussion is supported by a minimum of five relevant sources of scholarly literature. A balanced view of the issue is presented that demonstrates that the topic is debatable.
    5. Philosophical or theoretical underpinnings that inform your position on the issue. The justification of a theory supports the discussion and clearly relates to the topic. It does not need to be a nursing theory. The discussion must be supported by literature.
    6. General discussion of topic/issue/construct with references to literature and other sources of evidence to support your argument/thesis statement. Each argument paragraph opens with a clear, concise and thoughtful statement of the main argument that is connected to the thesis. A critical analysis of relevant nursing or health evidence is demonstrated that supports the argument identified in the opening sentence of the paragraph. The discussion is persuasive, flows well, and shows that the thesis is reasonable, coherent and grounded in evidence. A minimum of three different scholarly
sources are synthesized to support each argument in the discussion. Each paragraph ends with a succinct summary of how the argument supports the thesis and flows into the next paragraph. Each argument should be discussed under a heading that identifies the main point within that argument.
    7. Implications for nursing. Three clear, concise, and relevant implications for nursing practice are described. The discussion is supported by three or more relevant scholarly sources of literature.
    8. Conclusion. The conclusion includes a clear and concise summary in relation to the stated thesis and reiterates aspects of key literature from the paper. Further questions of research are suggested. The final sentence in this paragraph leaves the reader with an insightful consideration to ponder related to nursing informatics.
    9. Reference page.
Your paper will be evaluated on a number of different dimensions, including the following:
    1. Importance of the topic to the profession of nursing
    2. Originality of ideas and arguments
    3. Quality of argument and analysis, including use of supporting literature and evidence
    4. Overall persuasiveness of the implications and conclusions
    5. 7th Edition APA formatting, grammar, etc

  • “Green Growth Governance in Africa: Trends, Opportunities, and Challenges for Sustainable Development”

The book should be targeted at postgraduate students (Masters and PhD students0 who would like to do research gain more knowledge about green growth governance in Africa. The book should also be suitable for policy makers and practitioners in Africa who wish to understand more about current trends in the politics and governance of energy and green transitions in Africa. It should also be suitable for international donor agencies that may wish to understand what they can do to enhance climate and green transition in Africa. The central argument of the book should be that green growth offers a great opportunity for Africa to diversify their economies away from fossil fuel, increase economic competitiveness by harnessing their abundant renewable resources; and also address the huge energy gap poverty in the continent. The book should then go ahead to make the case that whether or not Africa is able to access/exploit the opportunities presented by green growth depends on the extent they (Africa) is able to transform their governance to be more effective, innovative, and inclusive. Conceptually, the book uses framework of governance comprising 8-Is to explore the key governance themes/areas that requires attention to exploit green growth opportunities in Africa.

  • “Mastering the Interview: Navigating Common Questions with Confidence”

For your last-ever BUS 205 assignment, it’s time to put all that job search, resume, and cover letter writing in
context and start thinking about your interview. The following are ten frequently asked questions in interviews.
Beneath each, I have put in a bit of information to help you better understand the intent of the question.
Keep in mind, normal interviews for college graduates have a lot more questions. I just want you to get thinking
about the types of questions and how you might formulate a response that makes you fly ahead of the
    competition.
Pay close attention to this: You must relate it to the things you’ve already put in your resume and cover
letter. You are welcome to use anything to help you respond (even ChatGPT) although you won’t have that
option in a real interview. And, as I just said, you still need to use real examples from your resume. Honestly, it’s
faster and easier just to reply without it, but I want to give you that option if you need some help.
So, even with a lot of online help, you will still need to customize your response to be personal. For example, a
reply to the first question “tell me about yourself” should include a bit of information regarding who you are and
what you’ve done so far. I should be able to quickly look at your resume and tie your response to what you’ve
put in the resume. This is often the first question and can be incredibly critical to get right. It sets the tone for
    the rest of the interview.
Tell me about yourself (200 words or more)
This is a common opener where the interviewer wants to get a brief overview of your background,
    education, and relevant experiences.
    2. Why do you feel that you are a fit for this job? (100 words or more – use your resume and
    experience here a lot!)
This question aims to understand your interest and commitment to your field of studv.
    3
What are your strengths and weaknesses? (100 words each/total of 200 words)
This tests your self-awareness and honesty, as well as how you plan to improve your weaknesses.
Where do you see ourself in 5 years? (100 words)
The interviewer wants to understand your career aspirations and if you have long-term goals that
    align with the company.
    5.
How do you prioritize your tasks and manage time effectively? (50 or more words)
This evaluates your organizational and time management skills.
