Assignment 2: Final paper
· The final polished paper is to be 7-8 pages excluding the title page and references and figures (figures are optional) on a topic/issue/construct related to informatics/eHealth and nursing.
· In your paper, be sure to develop a position or argument (indicated in your thesis statement) and analyze a topic/issue/construct so that the reader develops a balanced understanding of it.
Your final paper should contain the following:
1. Title page.
2. Headings for each section in the rubric (note hat the introduction should not have a heading as per APA).
3. Introduction including a concise and compelling statement of the significance and relevance of the issue. The significance and relevance statements are supported by three scholarly sources. The introduction concludes with a thesis statement and statement of the significance of the topic.
· The thesis: The thesis demonstrates an assertive stance on a relevant issue that is highly debatable. It is clearly worded, concise and controversy is significant.
· Significance of the topic is clearly stated.
4. Literature review demonstrating that the issue is current and debatable through an analysis of the historical context of that issue. The scope and nature of the issue is synthesized in a clear and concise way. Synthesis means that citations with common key points are grouped.
