1.1.2 The name and the bill number (e.g., CS/ SB number if the legislation is pending in the U.S. federal or state level) or other identifying designation, which clearly identifies the legislation as currently pending at a legislative body and that it is not an adopted/passed or existing law. The bill can be pending in one state where it has been adopted in others. This is still pending and your group can use the experiences of other jurisdictions to support your position; and
1.1.3 An indication of whether will support or oppose the “bill”
1.1.4 The “bill” may be pending anywhere globally. As well as, in the United States at the national level, individual States, County or City/Town. U.S. Senate, House of Representatives as well as Florida House and Senate Each of these legislative bodies maintain websites where bill information for the current legislative session can be found. Local government bills may be obtained by requesting copies of upcoming agendas from the respective legislative bodies. County and city laws are called “proposed” ordinances (do not use resolutions since they are legally deemed only temporary measures subject to change).
1.1.5 A good place to start to gather ideas of current bills is by watching the news. Remember: health related is a very broad term (e.g., seat belts, obesity, gun laws etc.,).

At least three (3) “External Authoritative Sources” for each proposed bill.  “External Authoritative Sources” for purposes of this course shall mean: articles from published books, peer reviewed journal articles, education and government sites as well as non-partisan national or international organizations (such as WHO, UNICEF, UNAIDS etc) provided, however the article selected must have:
3.1 Authors; and
3.2 In text citations and references to support statements made therein.
3.3 Under no circumstances are newspapers (e.g., the Wall Street Journal), blogs (regardless of source), editorials, panel discussions, definition of terms, the assigned case study, “dot com” sites, and text books from the course or other courses to be used. The foregoing are not considered authoritative for this course.
