The Impact of Divorce on Children’s Mental Health: A Focus on Custodial Arrangements during COVID-19 in New York
I already did a draft of this research paper, attached I will leave the draft on the bibiography section you can find the articles that I’m using this is some feedbavk from the professor “the draft is a good start but my concern is that the paper is not focused. While it does address mental health after divorce, the topic is too broad. To narrow it focus on maybe specific kinds of divorce, specific kinds of custodial arrangements, etc. Right now, it is stating something pretty obvious and uncontested, divorce impacts children. You can narrow in on divorce during covid in NY, or 50/50 custody arrangement impact on children. This is a good start but you will need to narrow and continue drafting. Your articles are also fine, but you will need more and I suggest you get NY specific. You can utilize the library for help with research to narrow your topic.” please try to use simple English words in writing this. if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Title: “Reflections on the Nature of Self: A Commentary on Descartes’ Meditations on First Philosophy”
commentary on this passage, include sources for analysis and comparison.
6. But [as to myself, what can I now say that I am], since I suppose
there exists an extremely powerful, and, if I may so speak, malignant
being, whose whole endeavors are directed toward deceiving me ? Can
I affirm that I possess any one of all those attributes of which I have
lately spoken as belonging to the nature of body ? After attentively
considering them in my own mind, I find none of them that can
properly be said to belong to myself. To recount them were idle and
tedious. Let us pass, then, to the attributes of the soul. The first
mentioned were the powers of nutrition and walking; but, if it be true
that I have no body, it is true likewise that I am capable neither of
walking nor of being nourished. Perception is another attribute of the
soul; but perception too is impossible without the body; besides, I
have frequently, during sleep, believed that I perceived objects which I
afterward observed I did not in reality perceive. Thinking is another
attribute of the soul; and here I discover what properly belongs to
myself. This alone is inseparable from me. I am–I exist: this is certain;
but how often? As often as I think; for perhaps it would even happen,
if I should wholly cease to think, that I should at the same time
altogether cease to be. I now admit nothing that is not necessarily true.
I am therefore, precisely speaking, only a thinking thing, that is, a
mind (mens sive animus), understanding, or reason, terms whose
signification was before unknown to me. I am, however, a real thing,
and really existent; but what thing? The answer was, a thinking thing. -
Title: “Human Rights in Latin America: The Spread of Norms and the Influence of Fujimori and Chavez”
This prompt is part of a two-prompt final essay-exam. I will write the first prompt on my own, but the second prompt is listed below:
Discuss human rights in Latin America, with close attention to the spread of human rights norms. How has human rights law changed in Latin America, what were the major drivers, and how does our understanding of human rights in Latin America reflect on the region in relation to the Global North and other international understandings of human rights law?
The essay should reflect the two readings attached and should at least mention Alberto Fujimori and/or Hugo Chavez, as those figures will be the focus of the first prompt (that I will write on my own). It is not neccessary to write the entire essay focusing on only those two figures, but a mention of it would better connect the two in a cohesive response. -

Title: The Complexities of Slavery in African Societies: A Comparison to the Atlantic Slave Trade
One of long-standing justifications for the Slave Trade has been that slavery existed in Africa prior to the Atlantic Slave Trade and that it was Africans who helped to initiate and sustain the Slave Trade by selling other Africans into slavery. The error of this argument is that it overlooks the type of slavery that as practiced in ancient societies of the Old World of Africa and the Mediterranean was more like a system of patronage or vassalage. In societies like those of Medieval Africa a slave was often someone who had been captured in battle or someone who was unable to pay an outstanding debt. There they would be incorporated into their captor’s or benefactor’s household as punishment, sometimes for a limited amount of time and sometimes for life. However, over time they were accepted as members in the new societies were free to work, marry, and become productive citizens of their new societies. Unlike the system of slavery in the New World, these slaves were valued for their skills, crafts, and intelligence rather than being seen as mere chattel whose only value was their potential labor power. Write short answers, [3-5 sentences] for each of the questions below. Each answer is worth 20 points toward a maximum score of 100 points. A well-written short answer should identify significant themes addressed in each lesson.
How was slavery in African societies different from the types of chattel slavery practiced on American plantations?
What types of European manufactured goods were typically exchanged for enslaved Africans during the era of the Atlantic Slave Trade?
How were political and economic relations in pre-colonial Africa affected by participation in the Atlantic Slave Trade?
Why were Africans preferred over Europeans and Native Americans as slave laborers in the New World?
What are some of the elements of African cultures that have survived in African American, Latino, and Caribbean cultures?
Only use the attached regardings to answer the questions, please cite where you got your answers from. Thank you!
