  • “Unlocking the Potential of CRISPR-Cas9: A Proposal for Recombinant DNA Technique Lab”

    • This is a research proposal for Recombinant DNA Technique Lab ( CRISPR-Cas9 ).
    • PLEASE READ THE Research Proposal Guidelines and Research Proposal Rubrik which I have uploaded here. • HDRS ORDERED and Preliminary Data must be used, which I have uploaded them. • The research proposal will be no more than 2 pages. This is quite short, but it is important to practice making a concise and accurate, but compelling argument. This is especially important when writing grant applications. A short essay on this topic was published in Nature Journal titled ″Scientific Writing: A very short cheat sheet″ which I have uploaded here.
    • For a longer argument on keeping things simple, see the following research article which I have uploaded here.

  • “The Dominance of Angiosperms: Adaptations and Potential for Future Evolution” Title: The Dominance of Angiosperms: Adaptations and Potential for Future Evolution

Discuss the adaptations of Angiosperms which has allowed this group to dominate the plant kingdom for the past 100 million years.  Do you think Angiosperms represent the pinnacle of plant evolution or can you imagine adaptations in a hypothetical new group of plants which might supplant Angiosperms in the future?  Explain.

  • Title: Microbes and Disease: Understanding the Impact and Prevention of Pathogens on Human Health

Directions for the students: There are 4 essay questions. Please be sure to complete all of them with thorough substantive responses. Citations are required for all responses. There is no time limit.
Summarize one example illustrating how microbes benefit human health. Can the removal of microbes actually lead to disease development?
Trace the path taken by pathogens from various portals of entry, through the establishment of disease, and ending with their exit from various portals in the host.
Conduct additional research and answer the following: Discuss what policies are in place at local, state, and federal government levels to prohibit the spread of disease in the case of a pandemic.
There are some who believe that HIV does not cause AIDS. Have all of Koch’s postulates been met for HIV as the causative agent that leads to the development of AIDS? Cite evidence to explain your answer.
