• This is a research proposal for Recombinant DNA Technique Lab ( CRISPR-Cas9 ).
• PLEASE READ THE Research Proposal Guidelines and Research Proposal Rubrik which I have uploaded here. • HDRS ORDERED and Preliminary Data must be used, which I have uploaded them. • The research proposal will be no more than 2 pages. This is quite short, but it is important to practice making a concise and accurate, but compelling argument. This is especially important when writing grant applications. A short essay on this topic was published in Nature Journal titled ″Scientific Writing: A very short cheat sheet″ which I have uploaded here.

Discuss the adaptations of Angiosperms which has allowed this group to dominate the plant kingdom for the past 100 million years.  Do you think Angiosperms represent the pinnacle of plant evolution or can you imagine adaptations in a hypothetical new group of plants which might supplant Angiosperms in the future?  Explain.

Directions for the students: There are 4 essay questions. Please be sure to complete all of them with thorough substantive responses. Citations are required for all responses. There is no time limit.
Summarize one example illustrating how microbes benefit human health. Can the removal of microbes actually lead to disease development?

The critique should be a maximum of three-pages   pages should be double-spaced with a font size 12 and APA or MLA formatting.  The critique must include following points:
1.  Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic that is being investigated.
2.  Objective of the Study:   What is(are) the purpose(s) of this study.  In other words what key question(s) the author(s) asked in this study to address what was previously unknown or inconclusive about the subject.
3.  Background Observations: What are key observations/findings by other authors referenced/discussed in this article on this subject?
4.  Key observations:  What are the key findings/results author(s) reported in the article you received?
5.  Techniques were employed: What techniques/Materials and Methods/Experimental design were employed to test author’s hypothesis/ seek answers to their key questions?
6.  How did this work help in advancing our present understanding of the subject with regard to the previous findings.
7.  What is the conclusion/inferences in this article? (Do not copy as is from the article)
8.   Give your own perspective and critical analysis – are the data convincing? What other experiments would you have done and why?   Speculate how the outcome may be different.

You are required to read the Chapter 27 Clinical Microbiology and Epidemiology and write 2 pages of essence/ Summary that reflects the application parts of the chapter (Ex: something that you read very interesting, and it stimulates your imaginative thinking and curiosity; very much related to human subject; paving way for a future research)

To complete this assignment, you will need to write 1000-1500 words revolving around some topic in genetics that poses an ethical, social, or legal question on which there is a clear pro and con point of view.  In order to give you some ideas about possible topics, you can review the Genetic Testing, Gene Therapy, and GMOs lecture material from this module or you can think of other topics on your own. Please make sure that the subject of your paper is a genetics-focused topic.
The report should include a brief introduction (no more than 1 paragraph) to the ethical topic followed by:
Approximately 1/3 of the paper summarizing the pro view with supporting data and research
Approximately 1/3 of the paper summarizing the con view with supporting data and research
The final 1/3 of the paper summarizing your own personal point of view on the topic based on additional supporting data and research
Additional Details:
In-text Citations should be included throughout the report when you were not the originator of the information written.  Please use numbered citations formatted in the CSE Citation-SequenceLinks to an external site. style. 
A list of references should be included at the end of the report, formatted using the CSE Citation-SequenceLinks to an external site. style.  Only include references that are cited in the body of the paper.

BIO 299 Pathology/Microbial-Environmental Interactions Paper
You will pick a microorganism for your paper on pathology or microbe-environment interactions. The organism can not be one of the ones your instructor goes over during lecture listed in the syllabus. Select a pathogen/microbe from current events that is an emerging or reemerging concern to you or people in your area. Provide local epidemiological data/statistics for the organism.
Guidelines:
The paper should be a minimum of 5 pages of relevant and informative material that covers all of the content and requirements listed below and in the rubric. The 5 pages does not include the title and reference pages. The paper should thoroughly inform the reader and be original work and not reuse any part of previously submitted course material.
