One Future Challenge
Select one of the article assignments for this module. Prepare a management briefing that explains the article’s key issue or challenge as it is likely to develop over the next three to five years. Use research resources (find at least two credible sources) that assert or deny the points being made by the author. Incorporate the additional authors’ opinions into your analysis.
The written assignment essay should be between 1050 and 1400 words (4 to 6 pages) in length. The report should demonstrate mastery of the concepts in Modules 1 through 6, be written in the third person, and be presented without editorializing. Before submitting your assignment, ensure that your work is an analysis and not simply a summary of findings.
The paper must be written in conformance with the citation formatting requirements of APA style, and all sources, whether directly quoted or paraphrased, must be cited in the text of your assignment as well as included on a References page. Applying APA style can be easily accomplished by using Word’s “References” tab or by following the formatting requirements of APA Style.
Note: This assignment is graded based on the activity specifications above using the Written Assignment Rubric. However, a report that is poorly proofread or copy edited (and thus that does not clearly articulate the thoughts of its author) cannot receive a grade higher than satisfactory (C+). Please review both the assignment description and the rubric carefully for the required details.

Carefully proofread your document and make any revisions to grammar, content, and style. With the exception of correspondence, professional reporting is prepared objectively in the third person to limit any possible author bias. Eliminate any vague pronouns from the composition (i.e., pronouns that lack concrete antecedents). Check tense, since most reports are written in the literary present to provide a sense of timeliness for the reader. Past tense is best saved for historical reporting, and future tense is appropriate when a report’s subject centers on a prediction.

Merchandising companies invest large sums of money in inventory, having to account for the purchasing, selling, and costs. Most U.S. based companies or companies on U.S. exchanges have previously had to follow the GAAP standards. As IFRS has moved forward in many countries, these companies have to review if the GAAP or the IFRS standards should be used.
Your company has been following GAAP standards and is looking to expand to international markets. You have been using a LIFO cost of inventory system and have had several inventory items marked down under the lower-of-cost-or-market. You have been asked to present the pros and cons of converting to the IFRS standards, thus allowing your company to move to international markets. 1. Unionized healthcare facilities often encounter staffing challenges that hinder their ability to maintain adequate staffing levels. The strict union rules surrounding hiring and layoffs can restrict the flexibility of workforce management, making it harder to address staffing needs efficiently(Hut, 2023). 
2. Workforce planning is key to preventing shortages and surplus.  Special attention should be made when applying models to real-world applications in a rapidly changing system. Considerations must be made to external trends in our nation. For instance, if our economy is experiencing a recession, then the amount of money spent on healthcare will likely decrease and healthcare systems will be underutilized (Sampson & Fried, 2021). By using the workforce planning model, experts can forecast these types of trends and anticipate the changes. Planning must also account for supply and demand of workers, both by type of care and the area or region. One example of this is the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals and their outlying clinics. If leaders recognize that the demand in a certain region has an increased demand for specialty care, they must train and/or hire staff with requisite staff to bolster an existing clinic’s capabilities. Alternatively, VA leader can open an entirely new clinic with multispecialty assets. In doing so, leaders must also account for the long-term benefits, the attrition of employees, health outcomes of certain populations, the training pipeline, and costs to move assets (Sampson & Fried, 2021).
