Provide a specific example (or 2) of how this class has contributed to you becoming more effective as a person, team member, and/or as a future team leader.  A “fly-by” generic, vague response (e.g., “I need to communicate better.”  “I need to understand people better.”) will be considered “blowing it.” 
A personal, specific, serious “why” response should garner all 20 points.  By specific I mean identifying a specific model or concept from the class (including break out exercises, self-assessments, readings) and
1) describe the concept and source,
2) explain what you learned, and
3) discuss how it will improve your thinking or behavior.
Think in terms of structuring your response using the ABC method.  Your answer should be no less than a half page and no more than two pages (1.0 – 1.5 is typical length).  There are many topics we covered but the trick is not to cover as many as you can.  Rather select the most significant take-aways you have from the class. 

Overview: The “Software Interface Evaluation” exercise is designed to enhance your understanding of the significance of user-centered design in software applications. As technology continues to shape our daily lives, the interface of software plays a crucial role in determining how effectively users can interact with and accomplish tasks within applications. In this exercise, you will select a software application of your choice, perform a designated task using the application’s interface, and then evaluate your experience. By identifying both positive aspects and areas for improvement, you will contribute to the ongoing process of enhancing user experience in software design.
Instructions:
Software Selection and Task Definition:
Choose a software application that you are familiar with or interested in exploring.
Define a task that you will perform using the software. The task should involve multiple interactions with the software’s interface.
Task Execution and Evaluation:
Execute the chosen task using the software’s interface. Pay close attention to the user interface elements, navigation, and overall flow of the interaction.
Identify Positive Aspects:
Recognize and describe three aspects of the software’s interface that you found intuitive, effective, and user-friendly while performing the task.
Identify Areas for Improvement:
Identify and elaborate on three specific areas of the interface where you believe improvements could enhance the overall user experience.
Provide Constructive Recommendations:
Offer practical recommendations for each identified area of improvement. These recommendations should aim to address usability issues and enhance user satisfaction.
Compose a Short Report:
Organize your findings and recommendations into a concise report. Structure the report with clear headings for positive aspects, areas for improvement, and recommendations.
Reflection on User-Centered Design:
Conclude your report with a brief reflection on the significance of user-centered design in software interfaces. Discuss how positive aspects contribute to user satisfaction and how addressing areas for improvement can lead to a more user-friendly experience.
Utilize a word processing program like Microsoft Word.
Include a title page featuring your name and course details.
Ensure your essay is double-spaced, spell-checked, and meets a minimum length of 500 words
Your paper will be evaluated based on your ability to conduct in-depth research, analyze the trend’s implications, and provide insightful reflections on its alignment with information systems evolution.

An 10 page case study that provides a synthesis of the case at hand, defines and discusses key topics of organizations, applications, and technology found within the case study, and answers questions posed in the text using a minimum of 10 academic sources outside of the textbook.
This paper should include at least 10 academic references with in-paper citations and a reference/bibliography section and be 10 pages in length (11 – 12 point font, 1 – 1.15 line spacing).
Quality of Research: Use subheadings to organize your text and your thoughts into clear sections. Cite your sources properly in your text—ALL quotes and references to other material needs a citation in the text and a full bibliography at the end of the paper.

As part of this course, you will develop a training program for an organization or group. If possible, you should select a project that relates to something in which you are already involved (job, volunteerism, etc.), so your project can be anchored in an applied setting. However, that may not be possible in all situations. Normally, a needs assessment should be conducted to determine the best course of action. That isn’t particularly feasible within the time frame of this course, so we will assume a needs assessment has been conducted and proceed to development of the training.
The project proposal is 400-600 words, explaining the training you are proposing. First, provide an executive summary describing the need for the training and the organization or group. Then, include the following areas (see Chapter 5 Introduction):

Remember that this is a proposal, so these descriptions are only preliminary at this point. This information can and should change as you continue to develop your project. Provide a narrative description for each of the nine areas. Please include the headings for each area, but do not include the questions provided above in your submission.

FINAL – STRATEGIC HR PLAN – GUIDELINES (Due in Week 7):
Student should write a well-researched paper, approximately 6-8 pages and double-spaced (not counting a title page, table of contents, references or appendices).
