Description
The Enron case is an example of a scandal of an immense breach of ethical practices resulting in the fall of a major energy provider. The case involves a culture underpinned by incentive schemes rewarding unethical practices. Enron executives engaged in aggressive accounting practices such as the use of mark to market valuation on contracts produced artificially large earnings, disguising for some years underlying poor profitability in major parts of the business. Eventually this led to the demise of the company and the imprisonment of many of the top executives. Students will explore this case representative of a lack of ethical and legal compliance and the far-reaching repercussion for many people and institutions.

Write a report about this case study. Each report should include an introduction and conclusion, should be 4-6 pages (double spaced), 2.54 cm margins (the default on MS Word), and 12 pts size font. The paper should follow the APA guidelines for format and citation.

Then, identify an ethical problem concerning moral rights and analyze it.

1) From the chosen case of employee surveillance, state where this took place, what kind of surveillance was being used, and what the purpose was (stated or intended). Be sure to provide a works cited source for any resources you use from outside.
2) Clearly state any ethical problems concerning employees’ moral rights arising from employee surveillance in this case—state which rights are at stake and note any conflicting rights that may be present. Description
As part of the process of writing your RESEARCH PAPER, you need to find useful and credible scholarly sources as part of your topic research. For this graded assignment, you are to write an annotated bibliography of eight different scholarly sources. Each annotation is to be 150 words (± ten words) of text, excluding the bibliographic reference itself. At least three sources are to be scholarly articles and two either scholarly books or a chapter from a scholarly book. Otherwise, any sources that you deem to be credible (see “Evaluating Sources” in the Purdue Online Writing Lab) are acceptable, such as government reports, TEDtalks, or statistical databases.
Instructions
A scholarly source is one where the information and analysis presented follow standards that ensure their truthfulness. In the past, scholarly sources were defined in part by the mode of publishing, such as refereed academic journals, major publications like The Economist that have a known high-quality editorial policy, or academic books published by university presses. However, with the advent of easy digitized production of source material, selecting credible sources has become more complex. While it is still true that the traditional ways of determining ‘scholarly sources’ remains valid, innovations such as Wikis, or the fast-paced publication on the Internet of information that far outstrips the slower pace of traditional academic publishing can also be credible sources. You, as a contemporary scholar, must be able to separate credible from non-credible sources, while remaining open to genuinely insightful ideas and information that may exist. For this particular assignment, however, you are required to choose bibliographic sources that are considered to be scholarly within the traditional definition of ‘scholarly source’.
A good, short guide to evaluating sources is given by: “Evaluating Sources” in the Purdue Online Writing Lab. This is also linked on your Student Online Services (SOS) page. You are to read this to get a sense of what is considered a ‘scholarly source’ – or at least a ‘truthful source’ in our contemporary world of an unprecedented information glut. Reading this short guide too will help you to write a better scholarly paper, as the guide in essence tells you what are the indications of a non-scholarly paper. It is both important, and intellectually satisfying, to be able to spot deceptive arguments and analyses.
There are a number of online open-source guides available that describe how to write an annotated bibliography. In your required readings, you are to read: “Annotated Bibliographies” Purdue Online Writing Lab.
Some of the sources that you choose to use may already have a published abstract; you are expected to write an annotated bibliography based on your own judgment of the source, and you are required to specify how the source relates to your essay’s thesis.

When faced with an important issue, business analysts should know how to analyze the issue, define the problem, and elicit information to develop a logical solution. Image a professional scenario where a survey tool would be used in problem solving. Share the example and highlight specific benefits to the organization of the tool’s usage? Discuss the experts’ discussion of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of using survey instruments. These are found in peer-reviewed academic journal articles in the KU library. In addition to peer-reviewed academic journal articles, back up all opinions with foundation knowledge from the BABOK Guide and in-class lessons.

Quality Tooling Case Study
The Quality Tooling Company (QTC) was set up in the North East of England by a young
graduate Engineer, in the early 1960’s.
The main items of manufacture comprised engineers’ rules, engineering calipers, scribes (the
initial product range, which supplied the local engineering industry) and then expanding to
include micrometers and a limited range of specialist items which required high quality
materials and skills to produce accurate and long‐lasting items.
Due to the decline of engineering in the North East of England and increased competition from
globalization, QTC realised that, although the product range commanded great respect
throughout the industry – from both customers and competitors, this course of business
activity was untenable in the long term. An alternative, radical strategy had to be developed
to ensure the survival of the business.
The QTC production plant was well equipped with a strong financial base, the workforce was
loyal, and many of whom had begun their employment from school or university and worked
their way up the corporate ladder.
The commitment and loyalty of the workforce is recognised and rewarded by the company in
various ways, due to the owner’s philanthropic and moral beliefs and a willingness to embrace
modern management principles.
The son and daughter of the owner had also followed the QTC career path and were keen to
give the business a 21st Century philosophy.
The business had to evolve into a new, engineering‐based entity.
In 2010, an approach was made to QTC by the North‐East Hospital Management Board, for the
design and manufacture of handheld precision medical equipment, initially for research work.
The Board had acquired funding to develop keyhole surgery and other pioneering treatment
techniques. In 2012, the Board signed a two‐year contract with QTC to manufacture these
cutting‐edge products on a larger scale.
This new market has expanded rapidly over the last three years and QTC is receiving worldwide
recognition for its product range and company image. QTC now realises that the business must project itself to customers, suppliers and investors as a world class, 21st Century
organisation with vision, energy and conscience.
