Assignment Details
Note: This event project will be used as a basis of the project for the remainder of this class.
When thinking of an event and then rationally implementing the idea, decision making needs to occur for the event concept to work. The event proposal is used to keep the planning on track and brief everyone involved (stakeholders, vendors, sponsors, and so on).
Using the information from the Unit 1 IP, create a strategic plan that will identify how you will plan and execute a successful event by addressing the following:
Explain the physical layout and venue descriptions or requirements (staging, décor, lighting, sound, catering, and activities, parking, and so on). You will find some ideas and descriptions for the perfect physical layout in this resource.
Identify the agencies involved (contractors, technicians, entertainers, suppliers, security, and so on).
List and identify staffing requirements.
Explain any local or state regulations that need addressing.
The strategic plan should be at least 5 pages in length, not counting the cover page and reference page. APA style is required

For this assignment, you will be reading Case 3.1 “Moss and McAdams Accounting Firm” in your textbook. Once you have finished reading the case study, you will address the prompts below.
Define functional, matrix, and projectized organizational structures, and list the strengths and weaknesses of each.
Determine which organizational structure was being used in the two projects discussed in the case study, and explain how you came to that conclusion using evidence from the case study.
Do you believe that the projects described in this case study could have been managed better using a different type of organizational structure? If so, which one do you think would have worked better, and why? If you believe that the organizational structure used was the correct one, explain why you think so.
Describe what is meant by the technical side of a project and the sociocultural side of a project. Do you think Sands and Crosby were masters of both sides of their projects? Why, or why not?

Also, there are a few books written by insiders and others about this fascinating business from humble beginnings to a global powerhouse. Akin to others in like and unlike industry sectors (i.e., BASF), Cargill is not necessarily a “household name”. However, you would be hard pressed to not find its products and service offerings used in everyday items such as food, cleaning supplies, health & beauty, and financial & insurance services.
The scope of this case study is the following:

3. Seek to understand how Cargill does or does not adhere to ethical business practices. Can you find any dark side dealings that you can explain?

5. Please feel free to take the opposing side and focus on dark side elements. Does the Sherman Antitrust Act apply to Cargill? Explain.
6. Does Cargill have ethical standards that position it from its competition? Select a direct competitor and do a compare & contrast on the adherence to compliance and ethics. How does Cargill adhere to global standards for sustainability? Does Cargill need to be cognizant of product liabilities? Explain and cite an example
7. Develop a solid set conclusions and perhaps recommendations for Cargill to consider and what a few sustainable development goals are or should be in your opinion.
