Overview
The superintendent would like to know what relationships exist between different domains of Georgia Milestones Assessment scores. She has provided your principal with the included Excel file, “Milestones_Grade8,” which is a random sample of eighth-grade students from all public middle schools in the school system. The students were chosen randomly in such a way that all 8th grade students had an equal chance of being selected. Since the principal knows you are taking a research course, he has asked you to complete the assignment. In this activity, you are to use Excel to calculate correlation coefficients.
For # 2, in the chart, make sure you accurately round to the nearest hundredth (two values after the decimal). In Part 3 Question # 1, if you do not use the correct terminology when interpreting correlation coefficients as noted in your readings, HALF CREDIT will be automatically deducted. The main focus of this assignment is to compute and interpret correlation values and not confuse it with statistical significance. Students can find help with correlation in Excel by using Hoonuit (formerly Atomic Learning) found on VSU website and on YouTube. If you find you cannot search for Excel via the Atomic Learning site in our Collaborate module, here is an alternative way to get to the program which might work for you, if needed. The Excel Basics title in Hoonuit has help for the Pearson correlation coefficient

Title: The Importance of Motivation, Communication Skills, and Time Management for Doctoral Students: A Discussion of Demirdağ’s (2021) Research Study In Demirdağ’s (2021) research study, the focus
Please note that all articles for weekly discussions are current scholarly articles that will assist you in future research. In addition, you will need to find one extra scholarly article for this discussion to support your thoughts. No books and no trade journals can be used, only current scholarly journals (past 5 to 7 years) that are labelled academic, peer-reviewed, or refereed journals. All references must align with in-text citations and be complete with all information (i.e., authors, date, title, source) to include the DOI or the URL. This will help faculty retrieve the source to determine if the source meets the requirements of the submission.
For this week’s discussion, I would like you to read the attached scholarly article on communication. Please discuss the following, as you should have at least one paragraph per question/statement listed below: The purpose of Demirdağ’s (2021) research study was to examine free-time management skills and communication skills as the predictors of university students’ motivation. Three main concepts discussed in this scholarly article are motivation, communication skills, and time management. 1. Although the target population for this research study were undergraduate students, discuss two things you learned about how to be motivated as a doctoral student.
2. The study results showed that the relationship between motivation, respect, and the ability of expression were at medium level. Why do you believe effective communication skills are vital and relevant to you as a doctoral student and in society? 3. After reading the research results, share your thoughts regarding goal setting and time management.
No Secondary Sources, No Direct Quotes, No Bullets, No Abbreviations, No Acronyms, and No Contractions allowed . . . your full interpretation of the content and in an academic sentence/paragraph format (i.e., at least 5 to 6 sentences per paragraph). Your response should be a minimum of 350 words and should address each of the questions presented. -
