Each student will prepare a Centre Manual for a 3-5 childcare facility.  The purpose of this assignment is to develop policies and procedures for the operation of a childcare centre, to communicate clearly what the operations are, to parents, staff, Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL), and the general public.

Each student will choose a topic on which to do additional research. You should utilize one outside article from a scholarly journal (do not use textbook). Your article should be related to an educational psychology topic. This article review should include a summary of the article and your personal reflection.

Explain how the students did (or did not) master the lesson goals/objectives, including what you believe accounts for these results and how this may inform future instruction. Reflective Teaching Practice Describe what went well and what did not go well in your lesson delivery, including how the students responded to your instruction. Explain how you positively impacted student learning in this experience, including specific examples to support your explanation. You will complete your final project for this course in three distinct parts or assignments. For
this project, you will interview a current professor and student in a college or university, a
member of the clergy who interacts with college students, and one higher education counselor or
advisor. The purpose of these interviews is for you to better understand research-based academic
strategies such as time management, study skills, and meeting college students’ emotional,
psychological, and spiritual needs. By conducting interviews and investigating scholarly
literature, the end product of these assignments will be a well-developed Instructional Research
Strategies Plan and Wellness Strategies Plan. You will present your plans and findings in a
PowerPoint presentation as the final stage of the project.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this Final Project: Part 3 – PowerPoint Presentation Assignment, you will develop an
informative and engaging PowerPoint presentation for college students, encompassing concepts
from Parts 1 and 2 of this final project. Your presentation should educate students on at least

Another instructional method used in humanities content area instruction is the Socratic Seminar. The Socratic Seminar is a formal discussion of a specific text, in which open-ended questions are discussed. During the discussion, students think critically about the text, listen closely to the comments of others, and respond with their thoughts and their responses to the thoughts of others.
Part 1: Proposal
Create a proposal for a staff meeting/professional development you would like to present to your colleagues. Use the “Socratic Seminar Professional Development Proposal Template” to explain the Socratic Seminar to administrators, how it can be implemented in the classroom, and why it would be valuable to other teachers.
Your proposal should include:
Rationale for the proposal explaining why you would like to share this information at a staff meeting/professional development.
Detailed description of the Socratic Seminar process as it would be implemented in a humanities content area classroom.
State standard within your content area, and another state standard for an additional humanities content area to use as an example for the humanities concept/learning engagement experience. Engaging learning experience example aligned with the identified standards and objective and including cross-disciplinary content that incorporates humanities subjects outside the content area.
