  • Title: “A Comprehensive Literature Review of Transformational Leadership Theory: Historical Development, Major Components, and Research Questions”

    Minor Project 1
Minor Project 1 serves as a portion of the Major Project.
The Major Project will be structured using the outline below.
    Introduction
    Literature Review (Minor Project 1)
    Research Design/Methodology (Socio-Rhetorical Analysis)
    Results of Data Analysis
    Discussion or Implications
Conclusion Minor Project 1 serves to help students write an effective literature review for the Major Project. The purpose of the literature review is to survey the relevant research on a given topic. The literature review synthesizes the information in such a way that leads to the research question(s) for the study. Use the Creswell and Henson texts to inform your understanding of how to construct a literature review.

    Exegetical Exercise 1
The purpose of this exegetical exercise is to practice writing research questions and purpose statements using hypothetical scenarios. Be sure to use the content in Chapter Two of the Henson text.
(Henson, Joshua D., et al. Exegetical Analysis: A Practical Guide for Applying Biblical Research to the Social Sciences. Kendall Hunt Publishing Company, 2020.)
First, practice constructing research questions using the hypothetical scenarios below:
The purpose of this study is to explore gender relations from a socio-rhetorical analysis of Judges 4.
The purpose of this exegetical study is to examine the cause and effect of negative feedback from a biblical perspective by examining the relationships of Jesus and Peter, Paul and John-Mark, and Elisha and Gehazi.
The purpose of this exegetical study is to explore how Jesus addressed the social and cultural boundaries of His day through an exegetical analysis of John 4.
Second, propose a possible purpose statement for each of the research questions below:
What is the relationship between Jesus’ authentic behaviors and the development of trust in His relationship with the Samaritan woman in John 4?
What transformational leadership behaviors are found in Matthew’s narrative of the Mount of Transfiguration in Matthew 17?
What leadership traits are present in Psalm 23?
Please include an APA 7th edition title page. Students are welcome to use full-sentence bullet points for this exercise.
There is no need to cite the textbook as this assignment is designed to help students practice aligning purpose statements with research questions.
This assignment should not be longer that three pages (including the title page). It is recommended that you restate the content from the exercise and add your response under each purpose statement or research question.
