People often hear the stories of what goes wrong in health care, medical error tragedies, and examples of how organizations have failed their patients. There is much to learn, however, from those who do a great job of taking care of their patients, meeting their needs, and going beyond their expectations.

Part 1: Research Paper  
Identify a health care organization that is known for their high quality of care, service, and safety.
Write a paper that addresses: 
An overview of the organization, a description of what care or services they are known for, and the data that is available to evidence the success of their quality/patient safety efforts.
Identify the top four practices in the organization that have contributed to their creation of a “culture of excellence.”  A description should be provided for each of these practices with examples for how they have contributed to the organization’s success.
Identify the one practice that you believe is most valuable to the success of the organization, which you would like to experience in your own organization or would like to implement as a future health care leader.
Lastly, identify the lessons you have learned, from a leadership standpoint, from your research.

Major Topic Paper – This is an individual assignment that students should work on independently throughout the course. Students should choose a healthcare-related topic that is discussed in this course (Health Care Management) and relate that topic to their everyday work or personal lives. Sample topics include: Ethical dilemmas in health care management, marketing in health care, the role that managers play in the delivery of health care in the United States, the role that technology plays in the U.S. health care system. These are examples of possible paper topics. Students may select a topic other than the samples listed, but the topic must be related to the course content.
The Major Topic Paper should be at least 4 double-spaced pages of content and should also include title and reference pages. Students are required to research and find at least three articles from peer-reviewed journals or scholarly resources and incorporate them into the paper. 

It is essential for health care administrators to be aware of the rapidly evolving and ever-changing field of health technology, both in terms of current as well as upcoming informational and system advancements. Assume that you are a health care administrator for an organization and you have been tasked with presenting this new technology to your organization’s key stakeholders. After selecting your topic for this assignment, compose a 1,000–1,200-word proposal that addresses the following:
