  • “Navigating Staffing Challenges: Attracting and Selecting the Right Talent for Organizational Success”

    Global staffing shortages, ongoing economic challenges, and
    the changing needs of workers have created acute staffing challenges,
    exacerbated the war for talent, and can lead to impulsive hiring decisions.
    However, as desperate as an organisation may be, hiring the wrong person for a
    role can have disastrous consequences.
    Using the organisation, you selected for your Early
    Engagement Task AND relevant source materials to support your discussion, write
    an essay that:
    ·      
    identifies three (3) key staffing-related
    challenges the organisation is facing (or will be facing in the near future)
    and briefly discusses how these are affecting (or will affect) its ability to
    meet its operational needs and/or strategic goals, AND
    ·      
    discusses how the organisation should attract
    and select the right talent in the face of these challenges, and why this is
    important.
    Note: The essay needs to do more than just describe the
    issues or concepts – it needs to discuss these. Identifying the pros/advantages
    and cons/disadvantages of an idea, and explaining the ‘why’ are important parts
    of a discussion.

    in your essay:
    The

    relationships and the psychological contract

    and HRM context
    Attraction and
    recruitment (this may include ideas relating to work design,
    organisational branding, EVP, and methods of recruitment)
    Selection
    (including the process and methods/tools used in selecting from a pool of
    candidates)
