Address the following inter-related questions:
Which contemporary security challenge have you chosen to focus on, and why?
How does it affect US national security?
For example, does it alter the definition or execution of US national security?
How does your security challenge affect relative national power?
For example, which dimensions of power are most affected by this challenge, and in what ways are they altered?
What strategic actions would you recommend to address this challenge?
Finally, is the US capable of addressing and acting on this challenge alone, or must it work in concert with others, and, if so, how? -

“Qatar’s Hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup: A Strategic Move towards Stigma Management and Bridging the Gap between the Arab World and the West”
My research question is:
“To what extent was Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 FIFA World
Cup driven by sports washing or stigma management strategies, and what were the
underlying factors that influenced this decision?”
What i want to prove in this dissertation is that:
Qatar
wanted to host the world cup to bridge the gap between the Arab world in the
west (stigma management) – pride for their country and the Arab world – I do
not think that they wanted to host the world cup to wash away poor human rights
records – if anything it brought light to mistreatment of migrant workers – I think
that the world cup was a chance for Qatar to show pride for its country
The methodology i want to use is content analysis: I want to use news articles to explain the successes of qatar using counter stigma management with the world cup to forge way into a respectable seat in foreign affairs
In the files attached i have explained what theory I want to use : Rebecca Adler-Nissen’s Stigma management theory. -
“China-Australia Aid Competition in Fiji: A Diplomatic Battle for Influence in the South Pacific”
The South Pacific has traditionally been considered a quiet and secure backyard for Australia. However, recent developments have introduced new dynamics. A remarkable case is the 2022 security agreement between China and the Solomon Islands. This is the very first agreement allowing China to deploy its security officers in a Pacific island country, which might demonstrate the growing ambition of China in this region. China’s action in the Solomon Islands, as well as other assertive diplomatic behaviour, has sparked a series of diplomatic responses from Australia and its allies, among which foreign aid is a critical tool.
Please study the China-Australia aid competition in Fiji, with a detailed investigation of documents and projects. -
