“Exploring the Paradox of Human Difference: Navigating Biological Similarity and Cultural Diversity”
Biological vs. cultural/social conceptions of difference: if biologically we are 99.999999999% the same, how do we understand cultural and social conceptions of human difference? How to you weigh the biological/genetic limits of human difference with the ways in which human societies use them for positive (e.g. empowerment of particular communities, pride in being Black, Black Love, etc, for example) and negative (racial/ethnic supremacy and hate) ends?

Title: Exploring the Impact of Social Media on Mental Health: A Critical Analysis of Current Research and Perspectives
Each student will be expected to write a research paper related to the topic of the class in some way. The paper, which will be due at the end of the semester, must be approximately 6,000 words in length. (In no case should it be less than 5,000 words or more than 8,000 words).
The paper must be a substantial and serious work of scholarship, based on external research (not just internet searches), making use of peer-reviewed journal articles, books and book chapters, scholarly papers, etc. NOTE: This is not just a book report, or a general review of the literature. This is a research paper, which engages in a critical way with a central research question of some kind – using the materials we are discussing during the semester as a starting point. The citations should include a minimum of 2 books and 5 serious scholarly articles. -

Title: “Uncovering the Ideological Foundations of Al-Shabaab: A Comprehensive Analysis”
Professors Instructions:
12,000 words (bibliography included) GROUP ESSAY (group consisting of 4 people, each person is doing a specific section)
Repeated grammar mistakes (e.g. it’s ≠ its) and an excessively informal writing style will negatively affect the assignment’s grade.
Plagiarism (i.e. improper use of external resources) and the use of AI technology is forbidden and will be sanctioned with a 0 (this would be for all group members). If it is for a second time, a specific ethic committee will be called.
My instructions:
We are doing our research essay for our course for on terrorism, specifically on the terrorist group “Al-Shabaab” and structuring our essay in this format:
Essay’s sections
1. Introduction
2. Historical evolution of the organization
3. Ideological foundations (MY SECTION)
4. Main events and strategies
5. Structure and sources of funding
6. Comparable cases
7. Conclusion
8. Bibliography
So, my section is only number 3, which soley discusses Al Shabaab’s ideological foundations.
I have also attached some readings that must be included and used, in the reading (Bacon 2022), you can look at Section 2: Beliefs, Perceptions, and Attitudes.
And please, no use of AI is allowed (not even gramarrly or any spell checking device), as I will automatically recieve a zero.
Thank you so much and I really appreciate it. -
“Exploring Political Attitudes and Behaviors: A Comparative Analysis of the 2017 British Election Study and 2020 Pew Research Center Data Using SPSS”
project ahead! Choosing between the British Election Study survey data from 2017 or the Pew Research Center’s American Trends Panel Wave 69 data from 2020 is a big decision. Once you’ve selected your dataset, consider which variables or questions are most intriguing to you and would make for a compelling analysis. SPSS will certainly be a valuable tool for crunching the numbers and presenting your findings.

Title: “The Contributions of Feminist Scholars to International Relations: Addressing Criticisms and Examining Intersectionality”
these are the feedback from my prof but i dont understand what he wants. please fulfil his expectations and avoid anything necessary. really emphasis on “contributions”.
1. to demonstrate deeper understanding of the literature, when you write ‘challenged by the feminist scholars’ gives us examples and references, e.g. True, Enloe, Sjoberg etc etc.
2. your introduction could be more specific. You say “brought focus on the ways that global issues including conflicts, security, development, and human rights significantly impact on women”. By only saying ‘brought focus’ it is too general. Can you be more specific?
3. Similarly, you say “, addressing criticism levelled against feminist within traditional international relations perspective.” But what exactly is the criticism? And what is your argument? Has feminism made a valuable contribution or not?
When you use specific terms like “second wave of feminism” you need a reference to show the source of that term.
intersectionality is good, but perhaps introduced too soon here as it might be a response to feminism’s critics. We need to see more of feminism’s contributions to IR theory, then criticism, before response to criticism. Also your discussion here seems to be a little too far removed from international relations and the academic of International Relations to be entirely relevant to the question. I am not saying it is irrelevant just make sure it answers the question.
